Bolton kept the pressure up on Sky Bet League One leaders Sheffield United with a 4-2 win at Oxford.

Filipe Morais gave the visitors the lead inside four minutes when he lashed the ball in at the far post.

The Portuguese midfielder then saw his free-kick pushed onto the crossbar by U's keeper Simon Eastwood, with defender Mark Beevers slotting in the rebound on 23 minutes.

Oxford reduced the deficit three minutes before half-time through a close-range effort from striker Kane Hemmings.

Bolton restored their advantage on the hour when Madine's effort went in off U's defender Cheyenne Dunkley.

The home side responded again when, soon after Marvin Johnson had rattled the crossbar with a long-range effort, Chris Maguire whipped in a free-kick on 75 minutes.

Phil Parkinson's men, though, closed out victory with Josh Vela adding a fourth goal in stoppage time to move six points behind the Blades and four clear of third-placed Fleetwood.

Bottom side Coventry beat fellow relegation-battlers Port Vale 2-1 at the Ricoh Arena to record a first win in seven league games.

Midfielder Kyel Reid put the Sky Blues ahead on 37 minutes and Kwame Thomas added a second from close range just four minutes later.

Vale set up a tense finale after Nathan Smith headed in with 16 minutes left.

Rochdale fought back from 2-0 down to earn a 3-3 draw against play-off chasing Millwall, who netted a late equaliser at Spotland.

The Lions led through a penalty from Lee Gregory on 14 minutes, with Aiden O'Brien doubling the advantage after 25 minutes.

Keith Hill's men also have a eye on gatecrashing the top six and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing reduced the deficit on 34 minutes.

Veteran Ian Henderson levelled things up just before half-time with a close-range effort.

Midfielder Callum Camps completed the turnaround in the 54th minute after Millwall failed to clear a corner.

The visitors, though, got themselves back on level terms with 13 minutes left when Jed Wallace knocked the ball in at the far post.
