Sky Bet Championship round-up: Leaders Leeds beaten

A review of Saturday's action in the Sky Bet Championship, where leaders Leeds were beaten 1-0 at Millwall.

Aiden O'Brien scored the only goal as Millwall beat leaders Leeds 1-0 to end the only remaining unbeaten record in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Lions dominated the clash and O'Brien gave them a deserved victory in the 73rd minute when he tucked home a loose ball in the penalty area.

His goal also ended a run of six straight clean sheets for Leeds, who finished with 10 men after defender Pontus Jansson went off injured with all three substitutes on the pitch.

Leeds are 6/1 for the title with Sky Bet, the same price as Cardiff, who are level on points with Thomas Christiansen's side after Sol Bamba equalised five minutes into stoppage time to nick a 1-1 draw against Sheffield Wednesday.

The visitors had looked on course for a third straight win following Gary Hooper's opener just before the break but they were denied at the death.

Wolves moved above the Bluebirds on goal difference courtesy of Diogo Jota's double in a 2-1 victory at Nottingham Forest.

The Portuguese midfielder opened the scoring two minutes after half-time and then netted an 81st-minute winner after Mustapha Carayol had drawn Forest level.

Wolves are 9/4 favourites to go all the way having impressed the layers since the season began in August.

Harry Redknapp lost his job after Birmingham suffered their fifth successive defeat at home to fourth-placed Preston.

Maxime Colin put the Blues ahead before the break but goals from Daniel Johnson, Jordan Hugill and Tom Barkhuizen gave North End a 3-1 win that signalled the end of Redknapp.

Aston Villa returned to winning ways in style at Barnsley in the evening kick-off.

Albert Adomah opened the scoring early on and added a penalty on the stroke of half-time before Keinan Davis completed a 3-0 victory for Villa, who had drawn their previous three games.

Middlesbrough twice came from behind to beat QPR 3-2 and move to within a point of the play-off places.

David Wheeler and Jamie Mackie scored either side of Lewis Baker's effort to put the visitors in control but quick-fire goals from Ashley Fletcher and Britt Assombalonga won it for Boro.

Yanic Wildschut netted the only goal as Norwich became the first side to leave Sheffield United with three points this season.

David Meyler rescued a late point for Hull after James Vaughan had given Sunderland hope of a first win in six games, while Reading also snatched a 1-1 draw at Brentford as Liam Kelly's penalty cancelled out Josh Clarke's early opener.

Bristol City netted four times after the interval to hammer Derby 4-1.

Gary Rowett's side took the lead through Matej Vydra's first-half spot-kick only for goals from Cauley Woodrow, Bobby Reid (pen), Jamie Paterson and Famara Diedhiou to give the in-form Robins all three points.

Goals from Stephen Warnock and Lucas Akins (pen) earned Burton a 2-1 win over Fulham, who had equalised through Oliver Norwood, while Cole Skuse and David McGoldrick struck as Ipswich beat bottom side Bolton 2-0.

Bolton are already just 4/9 for the drop, one of three sides who are odds-on. The others are Barnsley and Burton, both 10/11.
