MLS round-up: Dallas off to a flier

A review of Sunday's action in Major League Soccer, including a win for FC Dallas.

Kellyn Acosta scored the second-half winner as FC Dallas kicked off their MLS campaign with a 2-1 win over the Los Angeles Galaxy.

Maximiliano Urruti opened the scoring for Dallas two minutes into the second half when he fired home from 20 yards but Giovani dos Santos levelled from the spot 10 minutes later.

Acosta then decided it in the 69th minute when he beat two defenders and fired into the bottom corner of the net.

Romell Quioto scored on his MLS debut to help the Houston Dynamo to a 2-1 win over the Seattle Sounders.

Erick Torres opened the scoring for the Dynamo with a superb free-kick before Quioto's curling shot beat Stefan Frei three minutes before the break.

Clint Dempsey pulled one back for the Sounders but they could not find an equaliser.

Dominique Badji scored the only goal as the Colorado Rapids beat the New England Revolution 1-0 and Anibal Godoy's strike earned the San Jose Earthquakes a 1-0 win over the Montreal Impact.

David Accam's second-half equaliser helped the Chicago Fire claim a 1-1 draw with the Colombus Crew and the games between Real Salt Lake and Toronto FC, and DC United and Sporting Kansas City, ended goalless.
