League One Round-up: Luton hit five in Plymouth hammering

James Collins scored a hat trick to help his Luton Town side to a 5-1 win over struggling Plymouth, who remain firmly in the Sky Bet League One relegation Zone.

There's no such problems for Nathan Jones' side as they sit fifth and are 5/4 to win promotion to the Sky Bet Championship, as Elliot Lee and James Justin also struck.

Sunderland are 5/2 to win League One, but blew the chance to go top after a 1-1 draw with Wycombe. With leaders Portsmouth not playing, the Black Cats had the chance to leapfrog their rivals, however they found themselves down to Wycombe and facing their first home reserve of the season.

They were saved by a Josh Maja strike on 84 minutes to keep that unbeaten record in tact and move two points behind Posh.

Barnsley are up to third, and now 4/9 to go up, as Cauley Woodrow and Kieffer Moore scored on 36 and 94 minutes respectively to beat Accrington Stanley, despite Ezekiel Fryers' sending off midway through the second half.

Barnsley moved above Peterborough on goal difference, after The Posh were held 1-1 by bottom club Bradford City. The Bantams actually took the lead through Anthony O'Conner on 10 minutes, but were opened up in the second for Ivan Toney to level.

City remain bottom, but now level on points with AFC Wimbledon, who lost 2-1 at Doncaster Rovers. That game was delayed in the second half as a drone flew over the Keepmoat stadium.

Scunthorpe United moved up the table as Lee Novak and Matthew Lund goals gave Stuart McCall's outfit a 2-1 win at Bristol Rovers.

Managerless Shrewsbury Town, who have been linked with Newport's Michael Flynn, won a cracker against Rochdale 3-2, while Blackpool claimed a key away win, 2-1 at Southend United.

Relegation threaten Oxford United, 9/4 to go down, gained a much needed win, as a James Henry penalty was enough to see off Gillingham at home.

Mark Robins may be the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month for October but November has not been so kind, as his Coventry City were beaten at Burton 1-0.

In the lunchtime kick off, Fleetwood Town and Walsall played out a 0-0 draw.
