Football's 10 most valuable players: Kylian Mbappe, England trio Raheem Sterling, Jadon Sancho and Trent Alexander-Arnold lead the way

Kylian Mbappe remains world football's most valuable player, but he is followed by four England stars, according to a new study.

In the CIES Football Observatory's latest report, which takes into account the financial impact of the coronavirus crisis and reveals the 20 most valuable players in each of Europe's top five leagues, World Cup winning forward Mbappe tops the charts with an estimated value of £231.1m.

The PSG star has 30 goals and 17 assists in all competitions this season and has been linked with Liverpool, the Frenchman even admitting he was 'flattered' by Jurgen Klopp's reported interest.

Mbappe's impressive displays for Monaco, PSG and his country have caught the attention of football fans across the globe. With his lightning speed, his goalscoring ability, and still being only 21 years old, it is expected that he will lead the way when Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi's dominance comes to an end.

Manchester City's Raheem Sterling is nearly £60m behind Mappe in second at £173.6m, after continuing to improve under Pep Guardiola.

The 25-year-old already has two Premier League titles, three Carabao Cups and an FA Cup to his name - while City remain in the hunt for the Champions League this term.

Sterling's former Man City colleague and now Three Lions team-mate Jadon Sancho is in third, valued at £159.7m.

The Borussia Dortmund winger, who recently netted a hat-trick in the Bundesliga, has been attracting some of the world's biggest clubs after glittering performances for the German outfit - and he has only recently turned 20.

Key to much of Liverpool's success in recent seasons has been Trent Alexander-Arnold, who emerged on the scene and made the right-back slot his own and developing into one of the world's best in that position.

The same as as Mbappe, he has earned a reputation for his work-rate and threat going forward, notching 30 assists in all competitions over the last two seasons.

The report values sees him placed fourth, valued at £152.6m, while he is followed by compatriot Marcus Rashford and team-mates Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
