Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne insists that they must learn from their shock defeat to Lyon.
Moussa Dembele struck either side of Raheem Sterling’s late glaring miss as the Ligue 1 side shocked Pep Guardiola's City in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
City had hauled themselves back into the game after Maxwel Cornet’s opener with De Bruyne’s 69th-minute equaliser but former Celtic striker Dembele then came off the bench to turn the tie dramatically.
Dembele first broke from halfway to slot home and then, moments after Sterling’s miss, he made victory certain after a spill by Ederson.
🗣 "Different year, same stuff..."

Speaking about the game, De Bruyne said that they have to learn from the result as they failed to progress past the quarter-final stage for the third consecutive year.
The Belgian told BT Sport: “We need to learn. It’s not good enough and that’s it.
“Different year, same stuff. The first half wasn’t good enough, we started slow but in the second half we played really well.
“We had them under pressure. We played more offensive like we normally do. At 2-1 if Raz scores it’s 2-2 and the game goes on. That’s football, it’s fine margins. They made it 3-1 and the game is over.”
