Chelsea can win the Champions League and at great value after being labelled 'extraordinary'

Despite sitting top of Group E and hammering closet rivals Sevilla 4-0 on Wednesday night, Chelsea still look incredible value to win the Champions League, sitting as long as 20/1 to lift the trophy.

Four goals from French World Cup winner Olivier Giroud at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium presented Chelsea with one of their great European nights and sealed their qualification in the last-16 and potentially easier tie.

More importantly, it was an evening that sent a message to the rest of the competition that the London side are one of the teams to beat in this season's tournament.

The victory moves them three-points clear of the Europa League champions in their pool on 13 points, with four wins and a draw to their name, as they search for a second Champions League title to add to their 2012 success.

Their ranking makes 20/1 (888sport and Unibet) seem remarkable value, while even at 12/1 with Paddy Power still looking generous.

It is not just the results punters should be confident in - remember, it's one defeat all season and that was with 10 men against Liverpool in game two - it is their performances.

In their last eight matches they've hit Sevilla, Sheffield United and FK Krasnodar for four, knocked three in against Burnley and Rennes and two passed Newcastle and Rennes again. In their last 10 outings they've leaked just two.

Their performance on Wednesday night lead a stunned Sevilla coach Julen Lopetegui to salute Frank Lampard's side as 'extraordinary'.

"Chelsea are a team designed to win the Champions League,' said Lopetegui

"Look at their squad and you can see the players that both played tonight and didn't play are all extraordinary. Games will get tougher in the knockout stages but they appear to have everything to cope."
