"I was deflated last year with just one [winner], so the memo was 'we need to do better' which certainly included me!
"We've done a lot of work this week on tactics and track position.

"We had no plan today - if he jumped well and got into a rhythm we were happy to go in front – he's answered the [stamina] question, anyway.
