Ben Linfoot has the Sunday best bets with his Nap in action at Thirsk.
BURDETT looks the best bet on the Sky Bet Sunday Series card at Thirsk in the Sky Bet Build A Bet Handicap at 4.15. Jack Channon’s contender was taken out of a Chester race on Saturday to come here and the likely very strong pace over seven furlongs looks set to play to his strengths. He was impressive at York last time and with Jack Channon in good form he can defy the 6lb rise under Eddy Greatrex.
BUCKSHAW VILLAGE has been shaping like a horse that is going to win soon and he could strike in division two of the Speedy Gonzales Sam Hay Handicap at Doncaster. Declan Carroll’s horse has dropped to a mark he can win off and seconds at Thirsk and Leicester this season have hinted a win is imminent, while he was better than his finishing position of fourth at Carlisle last time. He looks the best handicapped horse in the field and will likely travel strongly off what should be a decent gallop.
Jim Boyle has won a few apprentice races where the whips cannot be used at Salisbury which makes his CLEAR AIM an interesting outsider in the opener. She has bits and pieces of form that gives her a chance off a mark of 49, particularly her Windsor fourth in April, and given she’s a tail flasher under pressure she might just respond to not being hit with the whip.
