SILENT CITY - 20:20 Windsor (NAP)
SILENT CITY is a consistent, unexposed filly with plenty more to give now upped to 10 furlongs and she should be a bit sharper for last month's comeback third at Newmarket - her first outing since October. Roger Varian's filly won her maiden here at Windsor last June and fast ground seems to play to her strengths so there's loads in her favour having been left on a mark of 82 (the ceiling rating for this 0-80 contest).
IT'S A BREEZE - 16:12 Newton Abbot
Paul Nicholls is operating at a 39% strike-rate at Newton Abbot so far this year and it's not hard to envisage IT'S A BREEZE adding to the tally in the small-field handicap chase over two and a half miles. The seven-year-old came from the back to lead three-out over 3m2f here last month but his stamina ebbed away and he'll be happier over this intermediate distance. He looks on a fair mark based on that effort and is still open to improvement after just three chase starts in his life.
SPIRITOFTHEBLUES - 16:30 Ayr
David O'Meara's strike-rate isn't all that inspiring right now but the horses appear to be running well in the main and SPIRITOFTHEBLUES looks worth chancing on her return to Ayr. The daughter of Time Test won her maiden first time out here last summer and although she's found life tricky since, last month's Hamilton effort showed she's probably just finding her level. She stayed on well enough to fill the runner-up spot that day and the fifth has won since to given the form a small boost so Spiritoftheblues can go one better off the same mark now stepped back up to 10 furlongs.
ZOOELLA - 19:10 Lingfield
An open-looking fillies' handicap for three-year-olds, several holding claims, but there might be some value in backing ZOOELLA. Ralph Beckett does well with such types and she shaped pretty well on handicap debut at Chelmsford back in December. That form looks very useful now, given the first three have won races since including Illy's Roo scoring at York on Friday, and a mark of 67 could really underestimate Zooella if she's made good strides over the winter.
