Precise heads 12 entries for Sunday's €1m Aga Khan Studs Prix Jacques le Marois at Deauville

Aidan O'Brien's Precise heads 12 entries for Sunday's €1m Aga Khan Studs Prix Jacques le Marois at Deauville.

The Ballydoyle trainer is going for his third win in the one-mile contest following on from Excelebration in 2012 and Diego Velazquez last year.

Precise recovered from finishing seventh in the Betfred 1000 Guineas to win the Irish version and then the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot, but she has been beaten by Blue Bolt on her last two starts in the Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket and the Prix Rothschild on August 2 at Deauville.

The Starspangledbanner filly could be joined in the line-up by stablemate Puerto Rico and a strong Irish challenge is completed by Fozzy Stack's Thesecretadversary, who won the Prix Jean Prat over seven furlongs at Deauville in July, and Robson Aguiar's Power Blue.

That quartet will possibly have to take on a strong representation from the UK stables, too, with William Haggas' More Thunder and Karl Burke's Zeus Olympios both in there pitching as well after Wednesday's forfeit stage.

Rayif is the big hope for the home team, Francis Graffard's three-year-old colt on a retrieval mission back up to a mile after disappointing behind Thesecretadversary in the Prix Jean Prat last time.

The entries are completed by Dreamliner, Sixpence, Strauss, No Lunch and Sir Tommy Cen.
