There are a couple of horses here that got a mention on my Away With The Spotlight column from earlier in the week, and whilst both have a clear chance, I'm surprised the gap in the market between the pair is quite so big.

Natus Vincere is the potential improver. She was due to line up in the last at Southwell yesterday but comes here instead, and this looks even easier than the Southwell contest did. Never put in the race at Leicester last time under an inexperienced rider, she went off favourite there and clearly a lot better was expected. All the same, 13/8 looks short enough and I'll take KELLEBELLE instead.

She was going nowhere until the tongue-tie went on for her handicap debut at Southwell and in finishing second to the odds-on Parish Star, trading very short in the run, she's clearly run her best race by some way.

She has to build on that now, but after just a handful of starts that's very possible, and at 8/1 she looks the morning value.

TRIPLE CHARGED has been a little disappointing of late but can be forgiven his latest effort at Wolverhampton when left poorly placed and taking a bump in the straight when trying to challenge.

That track doesn’t seem to suit him as he's failed to run to form there on several occasions, but he was a big eyecatcher on his only previous run here, when rated 20lb higher.

On that occasion he was heavily backed and was beaten just two lengths despite being short of room in the closing stages, shaping as if he might have won with more luck in running.

He left Karl Burke after finishing third on his next start and failed to go on in a spell with Lisa Williamson, but has recently switched to Faye Bramley and the fact he was well backed again last time suggests much better was expected from his shrewd new trainer.

Back at a track that suits his run style and racing at a lowlier level than he’s used to, he’s more than capable of bouncing back to form.
