Low fitness bar in this race, Great Chieftain has a considerable edge for all he’s tense. Tycoon potentially overpriced on appearance.

Real Gain - has the quality you’d expect, fair level of fitness, has got a little warm

Tycoon - keeps catching the eye, fit and well, has a bit of quality

Mythical Guest - little plain in the coat, fair level of definition

Christian David - looks fit, good quality coat, fine

Mister Winston - always presents well and does so again; appears fit for reappearance

Esherann - compact and low to the ground, looks in fair order

Great Chieftain - fittest of horses sighted so far, very tight and tense but can be keen

Arisaig - always an appealing physical, fit enough as you’d expect from the yard but might come forward

Bopedro - will tighten up over the ribs

Sterling Knight - should still come on for the run

The two for me.

Blue To Blue - workmanlike appearance but fit, consider

Luzon Heights - will tighten up over the ribs

We're Goosers - leggy and angular, very much one from the sire, okay but doesn’t appeal physically

Pandemonium - plain through the coat, should tighten up

Akho Mezzna - fit enough for return, walks well

Raging Rag - very ready on reappearance, compact and muscular

Blue Courvoisier - rangy and athletic, uses body well in the walk, might come on over the ribs

St Anton - shine to coat, but will come forward

Arbaawy - warm and almost a bit colty, muscular enough but demeanour would be a concern

Tiger Power - such a nice Balding horse; developed top line, well muscled, shine to coat

Darn Hot Gallop - tiny filly, not much of her but has a good level of rib definition

Major Neigh Sayer - has quality and size; can see ribs but think he’ll come forward slightly

Dyonisos is best.

Rosario - fit enough on return, nice and relaxed

Existent - warm and sweaty, will improve for the run

Sturlasson - should come forward for the run

Regal Envoy - one of the better models, well muscled and in good order

Dyonisos - shine to coat after stint abroad, looks like we’d expect horses to see in height of summer, makes plenty of appeal

We Never Stop - warm down the neck but showing a lot more definition than others in the field

Tan Rapido - warm and will come forward for the run

Jakajaro - a little bit tense and tight, should come on for the run

Startled and Harswell Angel best.

Try Storm Cat - little tense and tight, okay at best

Starryfield - Red hood but easily managed, perhaps would have expected sharper after reappearance run; fine

High Approval - has quality, good shine to coat, will improve for what happens here but fit enough to go well

Harswell Angel - fit and well, no major issues

Cashbox - little poor through the coat, others appeal more on fitness

Senor Campanaro - one of the better models, rangy and athletic, has definition

Hardy's Hero - little tense and tight, jogging, should improve

Sierra Sands - a little tense and messing, tight enough through back end to do self justice although still room for more improvement

Stellar Vision - little bit inexperienced still and having a look, has got warm

Startled - good level of rib definition and shine to the coat, makes appeal

Crazee Icon - laid back. Poor in the coat compared to other Balding horses. Fit but doesn’t catch the eye.

Kody B - keen to get on with job, good coat condition but should come on a touch for reappearance

Talk Of New York quickens clear

14:25 Federation Of Bloodstock Agents EBF Conditions Stakes

Winning reaction

Charlie Appleby: "We have been very fortunate over the last few hours that we have had a few horses gallop this morning and we have got this fella, who is their in the mix of it all, and I feel the horse on Thursday in the Craven, Hidden Force, will formulate a bit more of a picture to us as well.

“I was just on the phone to connections and if we are all happy we will let the dust settle for a week and try to put a few round pegs in a few square holes as they say. He is one hundred percent in the mix for the 2000 Guineas."

Richie's Rocket preferred here; undoubtedly race fit and well managed despite being keen.

Godolphin pair very different models.

Talk Of New York - has size and scope, fair level of fitness although think he’ll improve for whatever he does here

Maximized - compact and powerful, more of a sprinting type, fit

Shaatir - doesn’t overly appeal from a fitness perspective; coat colour can be difficult to judge. Fine, but nothing more.

Lost Signal - small, stockily built. Should come forward for the run.

Richie's Rocket - athletic build, has leg and height. A little fussy in the head but nothing of concern; good level of rib definition and fitness

Adaay Of Scarlett makes an impressive winning debut

13:50 Gabriela Rose London British EBF Novice Stakes

Winning reaction

Hugo Palmer: “Everything has been easier for him at home, and everything was easy for him today. When you win any maiden in the first few weeks of the season you are only thinking of one meeting, and when you win it as easy as that you are definitely thinking about that.

“We will run again and hope we can get there unbeaten. I think the horse that won at Bath will go to the Lily Agnes, and he would have a penalty in that. We have got the National Stakes at Sandown Park, but we will look and see.

“We felt going into the race he was sharp enough for five, but that he would improve for going six furlongs, and I think Oisin (Murphy) is still of that opinion.

“He said to me coming in that he knew he would win going to post, which is not often they say that. He is no longer qualified for the Windsor Castle, so we will just have to see which race we would aim at.”

No doubting the fitness of the Adaay Of Scarlet but I’d lean towards Shadow King - classic Hannon ready two year old.

Rocket Boots - two handlers as keen to get on with the job. Green and neighing, hard to hold even with two of them.

Adaay Of Scarlet - neighing and green, very fit though

Anna Belardo - leggy and athletic compared to some of these, a little busy but not too tense

Innichen - Backs up quickly but still might come on a touch

Shadow King - Classic Hannon two year old, compact and fit for debut. A little skittish, but not bad for first time out.

Cerro Blanco makes a winning debut at Newmarket

13:15 Alex Scott Maiden

Winning reaction

William Buick: "It was a learning curve, his first run, and he's taking on a horse with experience and they made use of that. The pace was on and I just wanted my fella to come back, relax and do everything in the right way.

"He's a nice horse, he's a classy horse and he picked up very well. He even quickened down into The Dip which is always a hard thing to do, especially for an inexperienced horse. I was delighted with him."

Couldn’t oppose the Cerro Blanco, big powerful gelding. Big Snoopy best of the opposition, overpriced against some green types.

Alpine Culture - nice physical, well balanced with a powerful back end. Would have expected one from the yard to look fitter.

Kimbara - not sighted in pre-parade, came straight through to paddock with two handlers. Fit and fine; doesn’t jump out.

Big Snoopy - makes appeal. Doesn’t have much height but long in the body and moves well. Professional attitude.

Wield - eye catching physical, typical of the yard, solid and muscular. Very green, shouting and getting warm.

Galba - compact type, should sharpen up for the run, especially over the ribs

Power Monkey - green and keen; very fit but sweating early, second handle added to settle him

Cerro Blanco - big, imposing colt. Has got a little warm before being brought out but easy to manage and calm in pre-parade. Well defined behind.

Makerstoun - very vocal in pre-parade and getting warm as a result; will learn plenty for experience
