There's £50,000 on offer in this weekend's free-to-play ITV7 and Dave Smith has the guide you need for the crucial races.
13:50 York - Queen Mother's Cup Handicap (Lady Amateur Riders) (Class 3)
A tough handicap to kick off the seven can go the way of ARCHI'S AFFAIRE. He's been off since last September but is off a reasonable mark and with Chloe Dods' 5lb claim, gets the nod.
14:05 Sandown - Randox Health Scurry Stakes (Listed) (Class 1)
Claims can be made for a number of these but preference is for the Richard Hannon trained WELL DONE FOX. He has some nice form over course and distance as a two-year-old and hopefully a line can be put through his run in the Commonwealth Cup Trial Stakes.
14:25 York - JCB Handicap (Class 2)
Golden Apollo was heavily backed when last seen at York and similar market confidence would be notable. Get Knotted is at his best at this track, where he has an admirable record but, it is ALJADY who gets the vote. He was staying on strongly when seen over six furlongs here and with Galileo in the pedigree he's sure to appreciate the step up in trip.
14:40 Chester - Whitley Neill Handcraft Gin Handicap (Class 2)
Possibly the hardest race of the seven to predict and tentative preference is for PREFONTAINE who won a nice class two nursery at Nottingham last season. The drop back in trip should suit here after an encouraging seasonal return when beaten a neck at Sandown.
15:00 York - Sky Bet Race To The Ebor Grand Cup Stakes (Listed) (Class 1)
The forecast rain has only increased the chances of MEKONG landing this prize. He won well on heavy going last season and is taken to confirm his Sandown authority over Austrian School.
15:15 Sandown - Randox Health Handicap (Class 2)
A competitive handicap can be taken by the Owen Burrows-trained SAWWAAH who made a sound reappearance at HQ in April. He acts on soft ground and was only beaten two short heads into third on at Newmarket.
15:35 York - Pavers Foundation Catherine Memorial Sprint Handicap (Class 2)
Blown by Wind is a classy sort but may just have the weight to exclude him from the podium. In the third instalment of MORAWEED and Dazzling Dan's tussles it is the former who gets the vote with the application of the blinkers. He met trouble in-running last time and is taken to make it 2-1.
