Castleford coach Daryl Powell has responded to his side's big opening defeat at St Helens by recalling Jy Hitchcox and Alex Foster from Halifax while Jamie Ellis is set to take over at stand-off from an injured Jake Trueman. Hitchcox is set go onto the wing if, as expected, Greg Eden takes over at full-back from Ben Roberts.

Widnes coach Denis Betts has called up 20-year-old Olly Ashall-Bott in place of winger Patrick Ah Van, who broke an arm in the opening win over Catalans Dragons. Forwards Danny Walker and Sam Wilde are also included in the 19-man squad.
