We run the rule over Tuesday's greyhounds action in Ireland and pick out our best bets, as well as providing race-by-race selections.
BEST BET: Merrymeeting Ani (T3, 8.04 Shelbourne)
NEXT BEST: We Know (T1, 9,24 Shelbourne)
TREBLE: Catunda Jaxx (T6, 8.16 Shelbourne)
Following last night's announcement from the GBGB to cancel all greyhound racing on these shores, the focus is switched to Ireland and there are a few that catch the eye on Shelbourne Park's 10-race card.
Merrymeeting Ani (T3) went into notebooks a plenty when narrowly denied in an A5 at the end of last month and is taken to go one better in the same grade at 8.04.
On the back of two outings at Newbridge, he really caught the eye staying on well for a half-length second last time out and is entitled to come on for that first look round Shelbourne. The July '18 daughter of Droopys Roddick should have more to come and can prove too strong for these rivals.
The A3 that closes the card at 9.25 looks a good opportunity for We Know (T1) to steal a march and she may take some catching.
She has shown nice early dash when third on both starts since dropping back down from A1 company and her draw on the rails can help her cut loose this evening. She has leading claims on recent times and should now be fully fit after four starts since a layoff.
Another fancied to make full use of his smart pace to the corner is Catunda Jaxx (T6), who drops into an A6 at 8.16.
He was mixing - and winning - in A5 company before a layoff and after blowing away the cobwebs at that level on his return, he should soon be on the march from a lovely draw as the sole wide seed and could get clear beyond recall.
