BEST BET: Chopchop Hope (T5, 9.08 Romford)

NEXT BEST: Swift Sabbath (T6, 8.53 Romford)

TREBLE: Barricane Carina (T6, 9.41 Romford)

By Chris Oliver

There are two finals on the menu at Romford this evening and Chopchop Hope (T5) can back up an impressive heat success to land the 400m decider for bitches at 8.53.

The Yvonne Gaskin-trained speedster posted a rapid 3.66 sectional on her way to a five-length demolition job last Friday and, having won a heat of the Golden Sprint from trap five at the start of the month, a switch to the orange jacket isn't too much of a concern this evening.

She can steal a march again, while Swift Sabbath (T6) made first run count when going fastest in the heats of the maiden stayers event and can repeat the dose in the final at 8.53.

Paul Burr's charge was stepping up from 400m and showed that four-bend speed to race into a big lead, before appearing to see the 575m trip out well enough as he crossed the line three lengths clear of Sporting Gringo.

With a nice make-up as the sole wide seed, he can turn in front again and prove tough to reel in.

Barricane Carina (T6) is fancied to get back on the winning trail as she returns to the striped jacket in the 575m contest at 9.41.

With three wide seeds in the race, Patrick Janssens' inmate has fared well with the draw and has the early gears to make full use of her make-up, as evidenced by some impressive trap-to-line victories over this C&D over the winter.
