There are four opens this evening at Peterborough where Ballymac Eliza (T2) can make her local knowledge count over 620m at 9.15.

Richard Devenish's bitch relished a return to home sand when running out an impressive trap-to-line winner over this C&D a week ago and it could be crucial she is drawn inside Clonbrien Mini tonight.

The latter has been in fine form at Central Park and Henlow in recent weeks and has good early speed herself, but lacks a previous look round this venue and could struggle to clear the selection to the corner.

Match fitness can give Bit View Colin (T3) the edge over Kooga Klammer in the 435m contest at 9.48.

The latter got within three-quarters of a length of landing the Peterborough Derby when second to Hiya Butt in August, but has only raced once since and may need the run.

Bit View Colin, on the other hand, arrives on the back of a facile C&D triumph from the front a fortnight ago and is fancied to steal a march in the white jacket again.

The other 435m open at 8.42 could go the way of Dunquin Vic (T5), who was in fine form at Romford and Harlow last month.

He has moved well in a couple of trials over this track and trip and could have too much all-round class for these rivals.
