Hungarian Grand Prix: Betting preview

Our ‘Pit-Lane Insider’ provides his thoughts and best bets for this weekend’s Hungarian Grand Prix and can’t see beyond another Lewis Hamilton victory after the British driver won his home race last time out.

Hat-trick - Win/Pole/Fastest Lap - Lewis Hamilton 7/2

On the weekend where Hamilton could equal Michael Schumacher’s record for pole positions in Formula 1 and where he has six poles and five wins already, the value lies in Hamilton taking the hat-trick once again. Expect him to dominate the weekend and in doing so, take the lead in the Championship for the first time this season.

Podium Finisher - Daniel Ricciardo - 15/8

He’s been on the podium in Budapest for the last three years in a row, and with a big upgrade to his Red Bull car coming this weekend, why not more ‘Shoey’ action for Ricciardo on Sunday afternoon?

Top-Six Finish - Fernando Alonso - 7/2

With Budapest being a less power sensitive circuit than others on the calendar, could this once again be the best weekend of the season for both Alonso and McLaren? He’s not finished lower than seventh here since 2009 and a Top 6 finish would be the perfect tonic for a man who turns 36 on qualifying day.

Hungarian Grand Prix: Sky Bet Odds

Lewis Hamilton is the subject of Sky Bet's Price Boost and has been enhanced from 6/1 to 8/1 to claim back-to-back victories by winning the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Sebastian Vettel is the one they all have to beat having qualified on pole and he's now 2/5 with Kimi Raikkonen available at 6/1

Red Bull duo Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen are both on offer at 28/1 to secure success in Hungary.
