Our F1 Insider is backing Lewis Hamilton for this weekend's British Grand Prix.
Lewis Hamilton win the race at 10/11
Silverstone is prime Hamilton territory, having won the last four British Grands Prix and the last three from pole position. He traded as short as 1/6 during last weekend's race in Austria before a strategy blunder from his Mercedes team left him on the back foot, before being forced out with a loss of fuel pressure. Had the race panned out as it should, Hamilton would be far shorter than his current price to win his home race on Sunday. His upgraded Mercedes and its more powerful engine should have the measure of its Ferrari and Red Bull rivals, while the reigning champion should maintain a small but significant edge over team-mate Valtteri Bottas.
Charles Leclerc to finish in the points at 5/4
Leclerc is arguably the most exciting talent to emerge in Formula 1 since Max Verstappen in 2015. He has taken advantage of Sauber's remarkable upturn in performance to score 13 points, finishing five of the last six races in the top 10. A rookie driver is entitled to a few teething problems but aside from a couple of scrapes in the flyaway races, the Monegasque has shown remarkable composure and racecraft to go with his speed. Odds-against to add to his points tally looks a very fair price for the future Ferrari star.
