Two Year Olds: Buying The Dream - Richard Fahey

Trueshan will aim to overturn his most recent result against Caius Chorister and Sweet William when he targets the Group Three Chasemore Farm Henry II Stakes at Sandown.

The Alan King-trained veteran came fourth in the Sagaro Stakes earlier this month at Ascot, with David Menuisier’s charge Caius Chorister just beaten in second and Sweet William, trained by John and Thady Gosden, also ahead in third.

However, the eight-year-old is not shy of entering the winner’s enclosure after top-class contests during his formidable career, having landed the Doncaster Cup and the Prix du Cadran at ParisLongchamp last September.

Sure to strip fitter here, it will be interesting to see how he takes to the track on what will be Trueshan’s first visit to Sandown on his 28th start, while anticipated wet weather should not be a factor for the bay.

Isle Of Jura will bid to transfer his brilliant Bahrain form over to these shores when lining up for the Chasemore Farm Brigadier Gerard Stakes.

George Scott’s four-year-old took victory in four of his five appearances in the Middle East, including two Listed races under Callum Shepherd.

He has not featured in the UK since coming sixth at Haydock last August but Isle Of Jura has earned his spot in the Group Three contest, with entries at Royal Ascot and a return to Sandown in place for the son of New Approach.

Karl Burke’s Royal Rhyme makes his reappearance following a fifth in the Group One Champion Stakes in October.

Kikkuli is the star name when the son of Juddmonte’s Classic-winning sire Kingman steps up to Listed company for the first time in the Chasemore Farm Stud Staff Heron Stakes.

Frankel’s half-brother shed his maiden tag with a gutsy performance at last month’s Craven meeting in the hands of Ryan Moore to win by a neck.

The pair will be reunited for this mile contest, which will be a first for Kikkuli, while the Burke-trained Ice Max and Eve Johnson Houghton’s Balmacara are each eyeing up a hat-trick of triumphs.

Enchanting Empress aims to maintain an unbeaten start to his career when lining up for the Orbital Veterinary Services National Stakes.

The Dominic Ffrench Davis colt won by a neck in the Royal Ascot Two-Year-Old Trial EBF Conditions Stakes earlier this month, to progress from his debut success at Wolverhampton.

Over the obstacles at Market Rasen, Magical Hill is targeting a hat-trick of wins for Patrick Neville in the Brook Property Services Ltd Handicap Hurdle.

The five-year-old stepped up to two miles and five furlongs last time out at Kelso to take victory by six lengths and should progress further despite moving up in class.

Back on the Flat at Catterick, Lokana should look to build on her recent triumph at Thirsk in the British EBF Fillies’ Handicap.

The three-year-old, trained by David O’Meara, attempted higher-class races last season as a juvenile, but returned this term to ditch her maiden tag at the fifth time of asking and should improve further.

Kento’s two placings at a higher level appeal in the Hugo, The Son Of Wilson, Restricted Novice Stakes on the all-weather at Chelmsford.

The Tom Clover-trained three-year-old came second and third at Lingfield and Wolverhampton respectively earlier this year in Class Four territory, so should be challenging for top honours on Thursday evening.

At Lingfield, Mycoloursoryours looks to overcome recent rival Far L’Amore in the Download The Racecourse App Raceday Ready Restricted Novice Stakes.

The pair went to battle at Newbury last month, with Brian Meehan’s fourth-placed Far L’Amore finishing four lengths clear of Paul and Oliver Cole’s charge.

However, Mycoloursoryours drops back to a mile and two furlongs – the distance of his debut third – which should spark an upturn in performance.
