Roger Varian's Rock Montreal could bid to follow up his impressive debut success in Saturday's Group 3 BetMGM Solario Stakes at Sandown Park.
The Godolphin-owned son of Blue Point was sent off the 2/5 favourite on his debut at Yarmouth on Friday August 14 and showed his five rivals a clean pair of heels having skipped to a two and three-quarter-length success in the hands of Ray Dawson.
Godolphin have had success in the Solario before, including wins for Aablan and Silver Knott in 2023 and 2022 respectively. They were trained by Charlie Appleby who also sent out subsequent Derby winner Masar to take the top spot back in 2017.

There are 14 horses entered for this weekend's contest in total, with Aidan O'Brien potentially sending Sergei Diaghilev, winner of the Listed Coolmore Stud Churchill Stakes at Gowran Park earlier in the month.
Celestia could represent Juddmonte and trainer Harry Charlton, Richard Hannon has a couple of options in Dover Street and Sonny Parvenue, while the unbeaten Sonic Angel could line up for training team Simon & Ed Crisford, whose star filly Senorita Bonita won Sunday's Prix Morny against the colts in Deauville.
