There was plenty to like about AESTHETE's run at Newbury when he was green in the early stages but finished in the manner of a horse that will come on plenty. Indeed, the form of that contest couldn't have fared much better with three next time out winners involved. Favourites have a very strong record in this race, taking five of the last ten.

AUSTRALIS has run a string of good races over longer trips including a fine second place in the Northumberland Plate and will be rightly well found in the market. The handicapper hasn't shied away but he's sure to run another big race with the stable in flying form.

There isn't a lot of form to go off here with a few of these making their debuts. A chance is taken on Mark Johnston's KING FAN. He's smartly bred, by Kingman, and may be able to build on a satisfactory first run.

Richard Hannon and Mark Johnston have an excellent record in this race, sharing victories in five of the last ten runnings. They look to have powerful contenders again and I was pretty taken by the way Fly Miss Helen did it last time. Yet, that might not have been an overly strong race and if DUBAI FOUNTAIN has trained on from showing greenness in the final furlong at Sandown, she can give Johnston another success.

FOX VARDY is a very game performer and he wasn't disgraced when attempting to fight off a 9lb rise at York. You'd think there's still plenty of improvement in him and he can get the better of Medal Winner and Omnivega.
