There's £50,000 on offer in this weekend's free-to-play ITV7 and Dave Smith has the guide you need for the crucial races from Ascot and York
13:50 Ascot - Princess Margaret Keeneland Stakes (Fillies' Group 3) (Class 1)
It was hard not to be mightily be impressed by SUMMER ROMANCE's win at Newmarket. Her mixture of stride and cadence enabled her to power away from her rivals with consummate easy at HQ and, although she'll be a warm order, her entries suggest that connections share the same huge optimism that her taking performances to date have merited.
14:05 York - Sky Bet 'Get Knotted' Handicap (Class 3)
More relative ease by the handicapper after an encouraging fourth place at Newmarket puts MEDAHIM right in the mix here. His defeat of Bunbury Cup scorer Vale of Kent last year at Goodwood is his stand-out piece of form and he's on his last winning mark whilst he has run well at the track previously so has course form.
14:25 Ascot - Porsche Handicap (Str) (Class 2)
The only horse to have turned over MOTAKHAYYEL in four starts did so by a neck and he even impressed in that defeat. Flashcard will do well to reverse the form with the selection but connections will be hoping for a return to form for Beatboxer after he ran a touch disappointingly at Royal Ascot.
14:40 York - Sky Bet Dash Handicap (Class 2)
Another chance is taken with GOLDEN APOLLO whose disappointing run at Hamilton last time out can be attributed to the soft ground. Back on a sounder surface and on a reasonable mark he can run a competitive race.
15:00 Ascot - Moet & Chandon International Stakes (Heritage Handicap) (Class 2)
29 runners contest this and it's no surprise that it's an ultra-competitive renewal. RIPP ORF has a fine record around Ascot having placed in the first five on all five starts at the Berkshire track. He's on the same mark as when third in this last year and 1lb lower than his best. He has strong claims.
15:15 York - Sky Bet York Stakes (Group 2) (Class 1)
On all known terms REGAL REALITY should hold these rivals. He won the Brigadier Gerard Stakes at Sandown with plenty in hand and ran a hugely impressive race in behind Enable and Group 1 scorer Magical last time out; he should take all the beating.
15:40 Ascot - King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Qipco Stakes (Group 1) (Class 1)
It's hard to see any of her opponents beating ENABLE. The superstar mare has won nine consecutive group races and will act on pretty much any ground. She will have come on for her win at Sandown last time out and should hold Crystal Ocean and Derby victor Anthony Van Dyck.
