13:50 Crystal Queen
I took her out of the nursery on Wednesday after the ground changed. She had this entry too and we’ll have to see what happens with the weather overnight and through the morning and make a decision then over whether to run.
I'm looking forward to steeping her up to six furlongs and she’s in great form but this is a step up in class and 19 is not where you want to be drawn on the evidence of day one.
13:50 Ruby Moon
Things didn’t quite go right for her in the Duchess of Cambridge. Ryan Moore had to try and get her settled that day and we found ourselves racing away from the principals. She came home nicely which is encouraging and while she was nearly three lengths off the Lowther favourite that day, I’d like to think we might close the gap with the experience under our belt.
The unknown quantity is again the ground and what’s going to happen. It’s a question mark over most of these fillies, mind.
17:20 Cotai Belle
She’s been knocking at the door recently and ran well here in June. She’s been second the last four times and deserves to get her head in front but this is a warmer race than she’s been contesting. We're trying seven furlongs for the first time to see if she stays and I’d be delighted if she was placed.
