Bristol Hill kept on well from the rear to finish third in a steadily-run race at Newcastle ten days ago and he can build on that encouragement with Oisin Murphy taking over in the saddle.
Bristol Hill isn't the easiest of rides - he tends to pull hard - but he is 5 lb below his last winning mark and drops into 0-55 company here.
It's been more than a year since Ignac Lamar last won but he has tumbled in the weights since that course-and-distance success and he has posted a couple of more encouraging efforts of late.
Ignac Lamar failed to build on a third-placed effort at Newcastle when down the field at the same venue on his penultimate start. However, he was only beaten a couple of necks in third from this mark at Wolverhampton last month.
Consistency isn't his strong suit but he's 10 lb below his last winning mark and is clearly effective under these conditions.
