Richard Hannon believes that the Virgin Bet Prestige Fillies’ Stakes at Goodwood comes at the perfect time for Aperoll.
Having created a big impression on her debut at Newbury, the daughter of Ghaiyyath then finished a respectable third upped to Listed level in the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Aperoll bettered that effort at the same level last time out when posting a front-running success in the European Bloodstock News EBF Star Stakes at Sandown Park (replay below).

And following that win, Hannon will look to pitch the Johnny de la Hey-owned filly into pattern race company for the first time for a tilt at the seven-furlong Group Three next Sunday.
Hannon said: “Aperoll will go to the Prestige then hopefully on to the Moyglare. She ran a super race last time out in the Listed contest at Sandown Park, but she did it the hard way. I just hope she relaxes a bit better on the track at Goodwood. "I don’t think it matters if she gets a lead as she has been very happy going up there using herself. I don’t see any reason to change that now. It is the perfect race at the perfect time.
“If we get a bit of give in the ground that will suit her more as well.”
And Hannon admits he is keen to work back from a tilt at the Group Two Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury next month with Agrippa, who got off the mark at the third time of asking at Goodwood last time out.
Hannon said: “He looked like he needed a bit of an easy time with his behaviour behind the gates the last day.
"I want to culminate in the Mill Reef, it is just a case of what route we take to get there. He is in good form and he holds a couple of entries at Doncaster so we could look there with him."
