Distant Storm could be in line for a step back up in class in Goodwood's Virgin Bet Celebration Mile Stakes on Saturday.
Charlie Appleby's son of Night Of Thunder was placed in both the Betfred 2000 Guineas at Newmarket and the Irish version at the Curragh before taking advantage of a drop to Group 3 level at Deauville earlier this month.
He finished just in front of Zavateri in last year's Dewhurst and could reoppose this weekend although the Eve Johnson Houghton-trained colt looks less likely to line up having finished fifth to Distant Storm's stablemate Notable Speech in last Saturday's Sky Bet City Of York Stakes.
Seagulls Eleven, Boiling Point and last season's shock Sussex Stakes hero Qirat are all older horses with course wins to their name, while Aidan O'Brien could saddle Isaac Newton, who also won at Goodwood as a juvenile 12 months ago.
John & Thady Gosden are represented among the entries by Morris Dancer, with Shayem another interesting runner for Boiling Point's trainer, Karl Burke.
