Scroll down to relive the day's action from the Premier League and the Sky Bet EFL with our updates, photos, videos and tweets from another exciting day of football.
That's it from us, what an afternoon of football!
Sadly, no success with the Sporting Life Acca but good tipping from our football team once again.
In the Premier League betting preview, we successfully called Salomon Rondon to score anytime at 3/1, Spurs to beat Burnley with under 3.5 total goals at 5/4. Our Sky Bet EFL expert Tom Carnduff successfully called Pawel Wszolek to score for QPR against Middlesbrough (at 8/1!).
Hopefully we have more winners in Fulham v West Ham and then in Sunday's busy Premier League schedule.
Until then, thanks for joining us and we hope you enjoyed our coverage, along with a couple of winners too.
Enjoy the rest of your Saturday!
1pt Liverpool to lead at half time at Evens

The Craven Cottage game is now underway - follow it here
With Norwich kicking off at 1730, Leeds go top for the time being after a 1-0 win at Bolton.
Middlesbrough lost at QPR but stay in the top six with Nottingham Forest in action on Monday.
Aston Villa dropped two points with a home draw against Stoke and are three points off the play-offs while bottom side Ipswich are five points from safety after a home win over Wigan.
Best bet: Fulham to score 2+ goals at 6/5
Goals are always on the agenda in a Premier League game involving Fulham this season, as they await their first clean sheet. With a victory expected, the Cottagers should score two in an entertaining derby under the lights at the Cottage.
Goals: Aleksandar Mitrovic to score and Fulham to win at 5/2
The Serbian has been given the captain's armband in recent weeks due to his importance within Fulham's team. He averages over three shots per game, scored two in their recent home win over Southampton and can be key again here.

The evening game is at Craven Cottage - so here are the teams:
In the Premier League, Wolves' win sends them up to seventh, leapfrogging Everton, while Newcastle's victory moves them six points clear of the bottom three.
Tottenham are now just three points off third - depending on tomorrow's result for Liverpool - after snatching a late victory over Burnley who are 17th.
The evening game comes from Craven Cottage, where Fulham face West Ham. Click the image below for our tips...
Wolves seal a third successive win as Ivan Cavaleiro makes it 2-0 v Bournemouth.
Funny how form changes, Nuno's men could not buy a win and all of a sudden they are on an unbeaten run!
Three minutes of five played so far in stoppage time as Watford look to hold off Cardiff. 3-2, what a game!
Spurs score as the match enters stoppage time. Christian Eriksen from seven yards. A winning tip for us - Tottenham to win and under 3.5 goals at 5/4. Success!
Great for Spurs after a difficult match in the Champions League in midweek. Good teams grind out points when others would not and they appear to be doing so here.
Tottenham must be letting a lot of people down - they cannot find the back of the net against Burnley - it's still goalless at Wembley.
Palace still lead 1-0 but Leicester are fighting for the equaliser and Jamie Vardy has just forced a stunning save.
The Foxes have had nine shots compared to the hosts' four and they’ve scored in each of their last nine Premier League away games. If you think they can continue that good form and still get a goal then they are now 6/1 to score next, with the draw at 6/1
Another for Cardiff! I said it two minutes ago but...surely not?! They are 66/1 to win, 6/1 for the draw...
Have you got BTTS in Watford-Cardiff? Well, good news. Cardiff pull one back through Junior Hoilett. They have got 10 minutes to rescue something from this game. Surely not?!
Tammy Abraham has equalised for Aston Villa. It is 1-1 with Stoke at Villa Park and the loanee has now scored in five of his last six appearances. Seven goals in that time.
Wolves still lead but Bournemouth throwing it all at the hosts now in the second half and they’ve just hit the bar and forced a good save from the keeper.
The Cherries' Callum Wilson is now on and has scored in his last two games. The England forward has four in his last 6 games in all competitions – he is now 11/1 to score the game's next goal
Three and easy for Watford at Vicarage Road...
They may have tired legs and minds from their mid-week heroics in Barcelona, but it is still all Spurs at Wembley.
71% possession, seven shots so far – although just one on target. Burnley already trying to slow the game down and time waste.
Not looking good. Enough said with that.
Another successful anytime goalscorer tip - first QPR's Pawel Wszolek from Tom, and now my (George Pitts) recommendation for Salomon Rondon to score anytime for Newcastle at 3/1. Result!
Huddersfield 0-1 Newcastle
Huge goal in this already relegation six pointer - Rondon scores a quality goal to point Newcastle in the direction of their second away win of the season.
The floodlights are working again at Macclesfield, who are 1-0 up against Crawley and looking to give new boss Sol Campbell his first win
Watford 2-0 Cardiff
Holebas has doubled the home side's lead
Macclesfield have had no luck this season. Bottom of Sky Bet League Two and looking for their first win under new boss Sol Campbell. They are leading Crawley 1-0 but now the floodlights have gone out and the game will be abandoned if not fixed soon!
Big game between two sides chasing down the gap to the Sky Bet Championship Play Off places and it's Stoke who take the lead through Joe Allen.
Huddersfield v Newcastle
So how do we call this one.
Huddersfield haven’t scored a goal in the second half of a Premier League home game yet this season. Newcastle haven’t scored in the second half when away from home
So the 0-0 draw is 7/4 currently. Worth looking at. However Town have been on top, and the feeling on Soccer Saturday is that they should be winning, so Huddersfield to win 1-0 has been Price Boosted by Sky Bet to 7/2 too.
So it is 0-0 in this one at the break Erik Lamela has been closest to opening the scoring. He’s had three shots so far – more than any other player. For him to score the first goal to 13/2.
Harry Kane, who has an outstanding record against Burnley, is now 5/2 to open the scoring...

Premier League
Sky Bet Championship
Controversy at the John Smith’s Stadium, a reckless challenge from Newcastle’s Lascelles could and probably should have seen a red card. But it is just a yellow. The Huddersfield team and fans are fuming and it’s turned up the pressure even higher on an already tense relegation six pointer.
There’s already been 8 fouls and 21 tackles have flown in. A red card at 9/2 could be worth a sniff here.
Against the run of play, Crystal Palace - without star man Wilfried Zaha - have taken a shock lead at Selhurst thanks to Luka Milivojevic. Sounds like a belter!
Jamie Vardy has already found the back of the net, but it was disallowed for a foul on the keeper. The Soccer Saturday pundits say it wasn’t a foul, but just a mistake from the keeper and should have counted.
With a new and seemingly shaky keeper in goal for Palace, Vardy to score the first goal at 6/1 or anytime at 10/3 is starting to look good...
Just two goals so far in the Premier League...
Watford lead 1-0 against Cardiff and Gerard Deulofeu to score the second goal is now Price Boosted to 8/1 with Sky Bet. He’s had the only two shots at goal in the game so far.
Tom Carnduff says:
"Campbell again. Brentford's defence look like they have never played together before. Bentley does well to get down and save Grosicki's effort but nobody tracks Campbell on the follow-up. He taps in to the net from yards out for the second time this afternoon. 21 minutes gone, a Campbell brace gives Hull a 2-0 lead."
It’s Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi’s birthday today – 20 years old. He’s also had the only shot of the game so far. Will he get a goal as a birthday present? He is fittingly 20/1 to score anytime
It's not related to this afternoon's action but amusing nevertheless...
The Hornets take the lead at Vicarage Road from the man who was brought back into the first XI by by Javi Gracia...
Tom Carnduff says: "GOAL HULL - Brentford a complete mess at the back and that allows Jackson Irvine to latch on to a lofted ball over the top. His shot isn't the best, but Fraizer Campbell is there to tap into an empty net from yards out. The Tigers are ahead."
Tom's in-play tip: "It's an optimistic one but it's 9/4 on over 4.5 goals here. Brentford look a shambles at the back but Ollie Watkins and Neal Maupay look a real threat going forward. Potential for plenty of goals here."
Elsewhere in the Sky Bet Championship, QPR lead Boro while Reading are ahead at Rotherham - both 1-0 scorelines.
Quiet first 10 minutes in the Premier League, but the first goal has now arrived and it's at Molineux. Raul Jimenez with the strike at the far post for the hosts.
QPR's Pawel Wszolek has only gone and scored already - Tom Carnduff had him at anytime to find the back of the net v Middlesbrough at 8/1.
Excellent start to Tom's tipping!
Harry Maguire looks to have an early knock for Leicester in their game at Crystal Palace. The England defender is trying to carry on but it is a tough ask...

Oh no! That is one of our Sporting Life ACCA selections!
That leaves us with just Rotherham, Charlton and Swindon - back it here
Another spot from Gareth Jones:
"The last time Burnley won a league game at Tottenham Carl Douglas with Kung Fu Fighting was at number one in the charts!
"That was October 1974, so you’d be brave to back them to win today at 14/1. So instead let us look at Harry Kane.
"He’s scored four goals in five Premier League appearances against Burnley, including a hat-trick in the most recent of those. So 9/4 for him to score first seems generous to us."
Opta's post-match statistics from Man City v Everton:
Huddersfield won this fixture in the early stages of last season and that came from a stunner from Aaron Mooy.
He’s out injured today and that boosts Newcastle’s chances of winning away for just the second time this season. The visitors have only lost once at Huddersfield in their last 6 visits – three have been draws
The draw is 2/1 with Sky Bet currently, but we will push for a Newcastle win at 21/10.
Tom's feeling it.
Another reason to stay with us throughout the afternoon!
More from Vicarage Road - great to see Tom Cleverley back in the reckoning after such a long time on the sidelines. It must be so frustrating being out for so long!
Gareth Jones is with me at Sporting Life HQ and he has found this:
"Leicester have scored in each of their last nine Premier League away games, but don’t boast the best record at Selhurst Park, as they’ve won just 3 of their last 14 trips to the London venue.
"Palace have had 86 corners, 28 yellows and 1 red so far this season; Leicester have had 88 corners this season, 26 yellows and four reds
"So therefore Over 1.5 goals, 5+ Crystal Palace corners, 3+ Leicester corners and 10+ booking points each team could be worth a bet at 9/4."
Tom Carnduff's Sky Bet EFL knowledge is excellent and he's found value in the game at Loftus Road:
"Do not adjust your sets, Middlesbrough have gone two upfront! Could this be a new way forward? The 13/8 on offer for Boro to score 2+ goals away at QPR may be worth taking if this a new attacking dawn for Tony Pulis' men."
Our roving reporter and Sky Bet EFL expert Tom Carnduff is at Hull v Brentford:
"As expected, Jarrod Bowen starts for Hull as they aim for another positive result. The value is still there in backing him to score anytime in this one. Brentford makes two changes with Jeanvier and Mokotjo in for McEachran and Konsa. Their midfield doesn't look the best on paper and it remains to be seen if the hosts can exploit that. I'm quite optimistic for goals in this game given those line-ups, alongside the fact that both will be desperate for victory as they aim to push up the table."
Tom called into Sporting Life HQ this morning and one colleague informs me that he looked way too under dressed for a cold Saturday like this. He should buy a half-and-half scarf while he's there, in my opinion...
Have you done your group bets yet – this is the Sky Sports pundits' call...
Wolves v AFC Bournemouth
Sterling netted City's third in the Premier League's early kick-off. It's 3-1 to the hosts with around five minutes remaining...
Tottenham v Burnley
Watford v Cardiff City
Huddersfield Town v Newcastle United
Crystal Palace v Leicester City
Let’s get another tip for the Sky Bet EFL now, with our an Tom Carnduff...
Adam Forshaw starts and he could be allowed to push forward with Samu Saiz on his way out of Elland Road.
Forshaw is yet to score this season, but he has only started four games in the advanced midfield position.
Given Bolton's issues and Leeds' favouritism here, the value is there in the 8/1 best price available on Forshaw to score anytime.
Just as it gets worse for Everton, Kevin De Bruyne is about to come on.
Elsewhere, the team news should be rolling in soon so we'll be across it for you as it emerges. Any predictions? Confident about a particular bet?
Get in touch - @SportingLifeFC
He’s already got two and Gabriel Jesus to score a hat trick is now Price Boosted by Sky Bet to 11/2
Like it? Back it here
Manchester City 3-1 Everton: That did not last long - November's Player of the Month Raheem Sterling heads home after Fernandinho's cross. The England forward has now netted in his last three games against the Toffees.
Oh, and it came just four minutes after coming on as a substitute! Talk about immediate impact.
Manchester City 2-1 Everton: The visitors have pulled one back through Dominic Calvert-Lewin - with the help of a deflection off Fabian Delph. Around 25 minutes remaining. Game on!
Our EFL Expert Tom Carnduff has been combing the three Sky Bet EFL Leagues for his recommend bets for this weekend. Let’s see what he’s chosen…
Conor Hourihane to score anytime in Aston Villa v Stoke at 4/1
One of the main headlines from this game is Jack Grealish will be missing for the hosts. That should see Glenn Whelan come into the side and take up a more holding midfield position, which may allow Conor Hourihane to play Grealish's more advanced role.
His 39 shots on goal is the third-highest in this Villa side. The majority of his goals so far have come from outside the area, although the value is in backing him to hit the net anytime in this one.
At a best price of 4/1, even at the general price of 3s, the best avenue to explore in this one is backing him to score.
Another update from Tom Carnduff in Hull. After his Yorkshire pudding wrap, he's now onto a salted caramel latte. I'm starting to question whether he is still in Hull. What happened to just an old fashioned coffee?!
Tom's EFL tips to follow...
Five minutes into the second half and City have doubled their lead, Jesus completing his first Premier League brace since October 2017 with a powerful header past Pickford.
No way back for the Toffees?
With play resuming at the Etihad, let’s look at what could happen in the second half...
City are dominating possession, with 71% and three shots on target. Everton are defending hard and well so far, but they’ve committed five fouls. Lucas Digne has been the busiest making three tackles and been yellow carded for it.
Andre Gomes is now 6/4 to be shown a card and he’s already committed the most fouls in the game with two of Everton’s five! Sigurdsson is 5/1 for a card and has made one tackle and missed one attempt so far. Calvert-Lewin is 5/1 and has been putting himself about in that first half.
As well as tucking into Yorkshire pudding wraps, our EFL Reporter Tom Carduff is in Hull for the football today.
The Tigers face Brentford, with both sides looking to push further up the table. He will keep us all updated live from the KCOM Stadium and offer in play betting advice from what he is seeing.
"In terms of the result, neither side has been in great form of late although Hull have picked up points against the likes of Middlesbrough and Norwich. The draw seems the more likely outcome, although if you feel like you’d rather pick a winner I’d be leaning towards Hull. Brentford are seemingly in an unstoppable freefall down the standings with just one win under their boss Thomas Frank.
· If you’re looking to build those BTTS accas, it is worth chucking these two in. Both have had little issue finding the net but it’s clear the defensive side does need work. In a game that could go either way, we might see plenty of goals. All five of Brentford’s last five have seen both teams scoring, whereas the same could be said for three of Hull's games over the same period.
· On the goalscorer front, Jarrod Bowen has been a star for the Tigers with six goals and three assists on his tally. His 49 shots on goal is by far the highest in this team and a price of 9/4 looks good on him finding the net anytime here."
We were delighted that our EFL ACCA came in last week at 7/1, so let's think big this week and hope it’s two weeks lucky.
Rotherham, Charlton, Newport and Swindon all to win - enhanced to 40/1 with Sky Bet
The reasons behind our selections...
Rotherham have a great record at home this season with just one defeat the New York Stadium. They take on a managerless Reading side who have won just one of their ten games away.
Charlton are unbeaten in their last four home games and secured victory at top of the table Portsmouth in midweek. Wimbledon have lost each of their last six league away games and find themselves stuck in the drop zone.
Newport boast one of the best home record in Sky Bet League Two with seven of their ten games ending in victory. MK Dons lost last time they were on the road and have only managed to win four of their ten games away.
Swindon are currently enjoying a three-game winning run sit in the top-eight of the League Two away standings. Grimsby's home results may have picked up in recent weeks, but they still sit comfortably in the bottom-half of the table for points earned in front of their own supporters.
As a result of the below half-time score, Sky Bet have Price Boosted the following ahead of the second half:
Gabriel Jesus' strike on 22 minutes means the champions lead at the break. It came as a result of Everton being too clever playing it out of the back. Not wise against the Citizens.
I have been on tipping duty for today's top-flight matches, so fingers crossed.
We have four excellent recommended bets for you to consider (click the tip to back it with Sky Bet):
Roy Hodgson's Crystal Palace started the season poorly and have now failed to win 10 of their last 11 matches.
The Eagles are 19th in the home league table, scoring just four and conceding eight, while Leicester are the division's best away side outside of the 'big six'. Coupled with Wilfried Zaha's suspension, it all points towards a good afternoon for the Foxes.
Considering they are around 2/1 to win, Leicester to score twice or more here is a tempting 21/10 chance which comes with insurance in the event of a high-scoring draw. This bet worked well for Leicester's win over Watford last month and it should prove good value again.
The Magpies were unfortunate to lose to Wolves last week and have reasons to be confident of claiming all three points in West Yorkshire - especially after Aaron Mooy was ruled out for the hosts.
This may not be a thriller but the 9/4 price for an away win does catch the eye, while Newcastle draw no bet at just above evens gives you more leeway should there be any doubt.
There was some temptation to back Ayoze Perez in a score and win double at a best price of 6/1, but the Spanish forward's better recent form seems to have come in front of his own fans and the preference is to count on Salomon Rondon.
The Venezuelan forward has popped up with some important strikes, three in his last five appearances in the Premier League, and 13 shots in his last three games highlight a persistent threat. His direct, bustling style can cause Huddersfield's defence issues and a best price of 3/1 to score anytime is worth a small play here.
The home side are expected to win without necessarily impressing, so under 3.5 total goals at 5/4 is the most eye-catching option.
It allows for a 2-1 or 3-0 scoreline and is worth considering due to the fact that two of Spurs' four games immediately after Champions League fixtures have been victories under this threshold - the other two were against top-six duo Man City and Arsenal.
Looking at unders in booking points is an option worth exploring due to both sides' low returns in recent games, while Heung-min Son is in a rich vein of form with three goals in his last five league appearances, but the match result and total goals is the way to go.
Wolves have gained 11 points from a possible 24 on home turf since returning to the top flight and Bournemouth have won three of seven on the road. It is a difficult one to call and that is why the preference is to avoid the result.
Bournemouth are one of the Premier League's top corner takers, fourth with 94 in total this season, while Wolves are mid-table with 85 and it could be worth looking at overs in the corners market.
Wolves have taken just seven of the set pieces in their last two fixtures though and there should be plenty of chances at both ends, so backing Bournemouth to edge it in the corners count - as they did for us at Newcastle recently - is the value bet.
Our Sky Bet EFL reporter Tom Carnduff is in East Yorkshire for Hull v Brentford. We will share his tips shortly, but we've had a first update from him and he's just had a Yorkshire pudding wrap.
We are very jealous but we know from Sporting Life HQ that he is going to be very cold this afternoon. Swings and roundabouts.
It is nearly half-time in Manchester City v Everton at the Etihad, with the hosts leading 1-0.
The Toffees started well and Richarlison missed a great chance before his fellow Brazilian Gabriel Jesus showed how it's done at the other end.
We’d love to hear from you throughout the afternoon. So if you have any thoughts on the football, questions or something funny to share then tweet it to us @SportingLifeFC or to me @GeorgePitts_ (be nice!) and we will share the best stuff on here.
