Man Utd are favourites to win the Europa League after being drawn against Austrian side LASK, the lowest ranked team left in the last 16 draw, where Wolves face Olympiacos.
Steven Gerrard's Rangers will go up against German side Bayer Leverkusen after putting out Braga in the last round, while a couple of decnet looking Spain v Italy ties see Inter Milan face Getafe while Sevilla tackle Roma.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side were comfortable 5-0 winners in the second leg of their tie with Brugge at Old Trafford, while Wolves lost 3-2 at Espanyol but already had that commanding 4-0 lead in their back pockets.
Rangers will be at Ibrox for the first leg of their tie on March 12, with Wolves and Manchester United away from home. The second legs of the last 16 will take place on March 19.
Europa League last 16 draw
- Istanbul Basaksehir v FC Copenhagen
- Olympiacos v Wolves
- Rangers v Bayer Leverkusen
- Wolfsburg v Shakhtar Donetsk
- Inter Milan v Getafe
- Sevilla v Roma
- Frankfurt/Salzburg v Basel
- LASK v Man Utd
With no seedings or country protection, the draw could have pitted two of the British clubs against each other, but they were kept apart in what looks a favourable outcome.
However, United's little-known opponents LASK are currently top of the Austrian Bundesliga, while Olympiacos knocked out Arsenal with an extra-time winner at the Emirates on Thursday.
Rangers will be buoyed by their last-32 victory over Braga as they taken on Leverkusen, who are fifth in the Bundesliga, six points behind leaders Bayern Munich.
Europa League winners odds
- 7/2 - Man Utd
- 5/1 - Inter Milan
- 13/2 - Wolves
- 7/1 - Sevilla
- 8/1 - Bayer Leverkusen
Solskjaer's side have been installed as Europa league favourites after what can only be described as a favourable last 16 draw, where they'll be fully expected to coast through into the quarter-finals.
Inter are second favourites but they won't have things their own way against LaLiga's surprise package this season Getafe, who put out Ajax in the last 32 in an impressive performance.
Sevilla, who are challenging for third place in LaLiga, are still well fancied despite pulling out a tough draw in Roma - who are fifth in the Serie A table but not in the best of form of late.
