Barcelona defied Sky Bet's in-play odds of 200/1 to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League with a stunning, last-gasp 6-5 aggregate victory over Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.
The Catalan giants went into the game with a mountain to climb and were 8/1 with the Leeds-based firm prior to kick-off at the Camp Nou as they looked to overcome a 4-0 defeat in the French capital three weeks ago.
No side had ever oveturned such a deficit in the history of the competition and Luis Enrique's team were right out to 66/1 in Sky Bet's outright betting ahead of what proved to be one of the greatest comebacks of all time.
Sky Bet's Champions League odds!
Despite racing into an early lead via a scrappy Luis Suarez header, the hosts had to wait until the 40th minute to double their lead but suddenly there was hope for the LaLiga outfit as Lionel Messi converted a penalty to make it 3-0 on the night and 3-4 on aggregate soon after half-time.
That hope was then seemingly extinguished by Edinson Cavani, who scored for the visitors in the 62nd minute and the away goal left the hosts needing three more to edge ahead and qualify.
The game appeared to be petering out, with Barca available at 200/1 to make it through, until Neymar stepped up in the 88th minute and fired an incredible direct free-kick into the top corner. The Brazilian then took responsibility from the penalty spot after Suarez was felled as the clocked ticked past 90, prior to which the qualification odds had drifted back out to 100/1 from 66/1.
Goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen became an auxiliary striker for Barca, who were camped in the PSG half for the full five minutes of added time and in the dying moments Sergi Roberto Carnicer expertly converted a Neymar cross to send the Barcelona bench and supporters into raptures.
Qualification from such a deficit may not have happened before in the Champions League, but is something that has been achieved on three occasions in other European competitions in the past, the last of which came in the 1985/86 campaign, when Borussia Monchengladbach beat Real Madrid 5-1 at home in the UEFA Cup third round, only to lose the return 4-0.
Barcelona are now back as the firm's favourites to win the Champions League.
Luis Enrique's side are 9/4, replacing Bayern Munich (100/30) and Real Madrid (9/2) at the head of the market.
Borussia Dortmund, who saw off Benfica with a 4-0 win (4-1 on aggregate) on Wednesday, are 9/1 shots, alongside Juventus and Atletico Madrid.
There was further joy for punters thanks to Sky Bet's biggest ever payout on an individual RequestABet selection.
More than 4,000 people backed the 80/1 selection from Footy Accumulators for Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez both to score and Sergio Busquets, Marco Verratti and Marquinhos all to be booked.
