Match report

South Africa coasted to a comfortable victory over France with a 35-12 win in Johannesburg to claim a 3-0 series success.

Jesse Kriel, Eben Etzebeth, Malcolm Marx and Rudy Paige scored tries for the Springboks while fly-half Elton Jantjies did the damage from the tee with three conversions and three penalties in a 15-point haul.

France were unable to find their way through the hosts' defence and all their points came from the boot of stand-off Jules Plisson.

The Springboks led 16-9 at half-time with Jantjies opening the scoring with a fifth-minute penalty after Francois Hougaard was tackled without the ball.

Kriel scored the first try out wide, with Jantjies kicking the conversion and two more penalties after the break.

Etzebeth extended South Africa's lead when he scored a try on the drive in the 43rd minute, with Marx also touching down under the posts and Paige forcing his way over from a line-out.

Plisson's points all came in the first half save for a 57th-minute penalty as France were unable to answer the questions posed by South Africa.
