Northampton Saints beat Newcastle Falcons to reach Premiership Rugby Cup final

Northampton Saints staged a dramatic recovery to beat Newcastle Falcons 59-33 and book a Premiership Rugby Cup final date with Saracens.

Newcastle stormed into 21-0 and 28-7 leads with tries from Sonatane Takulua, Josh Matavesi, Niki Goneva and Zach Kibirige and four conversions from Brett Connon.

But tries from George Furbank, Ahsee Tuala and Lewis Ludlam, as well as contributions from the boot of James Grayson, reduced the deficit to 28-21 at the interval.

The scores were tied at 33-33 when Newcastle's Chris Harris responded to early second-half tries from James Gibson and James Fish.

But further scores from Heinrich Brussow (2), Taqele Naiyaravoro and Luther Burrell took the Saints' try haul to nine and sent them through to the Franklin's Garden final on March 17.
