Former England coach Neal Hatley becomes Bath head coach

Bath have promoted Neal Hatley to the position of head coach to make him the third former member of Eddie Jones’ backroom England staff to secure a key post at a Gallagher Premiership club.

Hatley arrived at the Recreation Ground after last autumn’s World Cup and his initial duties overseeing the forwards and defence have been swapped for the main tracksuit role under director of rugby Stuart Hooper.

“As head coach, I want to make sure I get the best out of our players and that’s a lot about building relationships, knowing they trust your leadership,” Hatley said.
