Hull captain Gareth Ellis is keen to secure a new contract for 2018 and wants to lead them to Challenge Cup glory this season.
The former England international, who recently turned 36, will become the oldest player in Super League if he goes into a 20th season, taking over from Castleford prop Andy Lynch, who will retire this year.
More immediately, Ellis is determined to lead from the front as Hull seek to retain the Challenge Cup.
"Being a little bit fresher, the trade-off for me is now to add a bit of enthusiasm and energy to both training and the matches over the next couple of months," he said.
Hull will also have stand-off Albert Kelly back after he missed the last two matches with an ankle injury.
"He's an X-factor player and to have him back in a big game is great," said coach Lee Radford.
They are 8/11 with Sky Bet to beat the Rhinos with the visitors 11/10 chances. On the handicap Leeds receive a two-point start and it's 10/11 each with the draw 18/1.
