Leading try-scorer Greg Eden could be back playing for Super League leaders Castleford within a month, he has revealed.
The former Brisbane Broncos winger suffered what Tigers' coach Daryl Powell feared was a season-ending shoulder injury in a 38-14 win over Salford last Friday.
However, scans have indicated that the 26-year-old Eden does not need surgery and could return in the Super 8s.
"For everyone asking about my shoulder it's not as bad as first thought," he said on his Facebook page.
"No operation needed! Nowt a few thick cut tough beef sarnies and a rehabilitation program of around four weeks can't sort out. Buzzing."
The news is a boost for Castleford as they close in on the league leaders' shield and keeps Eden in the frame for the England's World Cup campaign.
It also means the winger is still on course to break Denny Solomona's league record of 40 tries in a season after touching down 34 times so far.
