RACING
The son of Free Eagle made a bit of a mockery of his introductory mark (73) in a maiden handicap at Yarmouth on July 15, beating Nasraawy by a length and a half and the pair four lengths clear of the third. The runner-up has since won easily at Salisbury before bustling up Sir Michael Stoute’s Crystal Pegasus back at Yarmouth on Thursday, so a 9lb rise looks perfectly justified for the selection, who once again has Hollie Doyle for company.
The Iffraaj gelding hosed up in a seven-furlong handicap at the Scottish track last June and confirmed his liking for the venue with a good run in fourth off a 10lb higher mark at this meeting last year. This season he’s been working his way into form, but his best run came last time out over seven at Leicester and he should benefit for the step back up to a mile at a track he likes.
The David Menuisier-trained gelding finished off really strongly on the good to soft ground, forging clear of his rivals having previously been well fancied for the Stewards Cup only to blow the start. A winner at Chelmsford, and then beaten narrowly at Windsor earlier this term, Atalanta's Boy has been progressing steadily for his shrewd handler over the past two seasons, and he looks versatile with regard to ground conditions.

FOOTBALL
Leeds won the corner battle in three of their five home games post-lockdown and all three of those saw the -2 handicap being covered. Leeds led the way for corners in the Sky Bet Championship last season with an average of 7.70 while Fulham sat at a much lower figure of 5.74. Given the contrasting showings on opening weekend, we should expect Leeds to enjoy the better of the chances and that should lead to corners.
Two of Rodriguez's three shots against Tottenham came from outside the area and he came close to netting a debut goal with one of those efforts just curling wide of the post. That is hardly a surprise; this is a player who has averaged over two shots per game across his last six seasons and so often they come from range.
Infogoal's Under/Overs Markets
Following victory over Southampton, Palace will be set up in a much more defensive manner at Old Trafford, and they could do a good job of slowing a rusty Manchester United down. We fancy a home win but perhaps a low-scoring one. Under 2.5 makes appeal at 5/4.
ON TO SUNDAY...
There's another four Premier League matches on Sunday. We have previews and tips for all, including Chelsea v Liverpool.
DARTS
The two-time Grand Slam of Darts champion looks overpriced at the top of the betting and being on the opposite side of the draw to Michael van Gerwen I wouldn't be surprised to see them meet in Sunday's final.
UFC
While Andre Ewell should comfortably win the striking exchanges, I have enough faith in the durability and toughness of Irwin Rivera to wager that this fight will go the full 15 minutes. To add to this, Ewell is yet to demonstrate a killer instinct in the UFC himself, with all three victories coming by decision.
TJ Laramie is a relentless wrestler with serious ground strikes and has won nine of his twelve wins by stoppage and now faces a 35-fight veteran in Darrick Minner. Minner does not pace himself and all but one of his losses have come inside the distance. The game plan for Laramie is therefore quite simple: survive the early submission onslaught and the fight is there for the taking.
