Roy Keane was at his outspoken best as he let off a withering attack on Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea and defender Harry Maguire.
Keane was in the Sky Sports studio for the Tottenham v Man Utd game and after watching Spurs go in 1-0 ahead at the interval launched an amazing attack on the United duo.
Steven Bergwijn waltzed beyond Maguire before rifling a shot right through De Gea, and although most people thought both men should do better, Keane went several steps further by claiming he’d be swinging punches at his keeper in the dressing room.
“I’m shocked at that goal, I’ve watched a lot of football over the years and I can’t believe that goal,” Keane said on Sky Sports.
“I’m fuming watching this game of football.
“I can’t believe Shaw heading the ball up in the air then running forward. I’m staggered at Maguire, staggered at an international player getter done like this and I’m sick to death of this goalkeeper.
“I would be fighting him at half time, there’s no getting away from that, I would be swinging punches at that guy - it’s a standard save from an established international goalkeeper. I am flabbergasted.
"Maguire and De Gea - I wouldn’t even let them on the bus after the match, let them get a taxi back to Manchester. These are established international players. I know we’ve got to analyse the game, you can analyse it until the cows come home though, just do your job.
"We’re trying to get into the top four, not winning leagues by the way, just getting into the top four, God forbid winning trophies.
"I am disgusted with them, Maguire, De Gea you should hang your heads in shame."
