Leicester City boss Claude Puel hints that Foxes could recall West Brom star Harvey Barnes

Leicester City manager Claude Puel has hinted that they could recall Harvey Barnes from his loan spell at West Brom in January.

Barnes joined the Baggies on a season-long loan deal in the summer and has established himself as a star in Darren Moore's side.

In 24 Sky Bet Championship games, the 21-year-old has scored nine goals and assisted a further six.

Leicester made it three wins from four over the festive period as they wrapped up the three points in a 1-0 victory over Everton at Goodison Park.

Speaking to BBC Radio Leicester after the game, Puel addressed transfer talk by saying "we will see, I think we need to think about rest for the moment.

"But I don't think there will be a lot of moves, but I think there will be a few adjustments for the team, a few may come back on loan.

"The most important thing is to develop this young team."

When specifically asked about Barnes, Puel simply stated "we will see."

West Brom saw their nine-game unbeaten run come to an end after a 2-1 loss away at Blackburn on New Year's Day.

"We'll talk to Leicester about Harvey," Moore said after the defeat at Ewood Park.

"Harvey's been an excellent player for West Brom. We've improved him as a player. He's been a constant threat for us and he showed his skill and temperament.

"He has a goal prowess about him. Long may that continue for the second half of the season, but we'll speak to Leicester during the month."

Barnes has three-and-a-half years left on his current deal at the King Power Stadium.
