Burnley have made their first signing of the summer by bringing in Middlesbrough defender Ben Gibson in a joint club-record deal.
25-year-old Gibson has signed a four-year deal at Turf Moor as Sean Dyche finally makes a splash in the summer transfer window.
In stating that the club have equalled their record transfer fee, it means the Clarest have paid Boro £15m to match the amount they gave Leeds for striker Chris Woods last summer.
Gibson, who is the nephew of Boro chairman Steve, is another member of the club's youth ranks to have come through to be a valuable member f their squad.
He played in the Premier League in 2016/17 and was tipped for a big move away following Boro's relegation back to the Sky Bet Championship.
Gibson stayed, however, but after a failed attempt at bouncing right back into the top flight Gibson has now return to the Premier League where he'll look to establish himself again.
A former England Under-21, Gibson was been called into the senior squad for a World Cup qualifier in March 2017, and after watching the likes of Harry Maguire and Alfie Mawson catch Gareth Southgate's eye he'll be hoping to follow suit.
