Madison Keys secures Cincinnati title after coming from behind to beat Svetlana Kuznetsova

Madison Keys hit back from behind in both sets to beat Svetlana Kuznetsova and win the biggest title of her career at the Cincinnati Masters.

Keys was pushed to the brink by veteran Kuznetsova and trailed 5-3 in both sets before rallying to claim a 7-5 7-6 (5) victory.

It was the fifth career title for the 24-year-old, who had struggled to build on a solitary appearance in a grand slam final at the 2017 US Open.

And it meant Keys, who also won the Charleston Open in April, will return to the world top 10 in next week's WTA rankings.

Keys won the last four games of the first set and held firm when Kuznetsova had break point at 5-5 in the second, before edging through the tie-break.
