Kyle Edmund cruises through Grand Prix Hassan II opener

Kyle Edmund made a positive start to the clay-court season with a comfortable win over Ugo Humbert at the Grand Prix Hassan II tournament.

The British number one, who is hoping to climb into the world's top 20 from his current position of 22, overcame the Frenchman 6-3 6-2 in the first round in Marrakech.

Edmund, the third seed, needed 79 minutes to complete victory over the world number 63.

Edmund finished runner-up in the tournament last year.
