Wells Farhh Go ruled out of weekend run

A dirty scope has prevented Wells Farhh Go from running in a Group One race this weekend.

Tim Easterby had his unbeaten Acomb Stakes winner in the Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster and the 10-furlong Criterium de Saint-Cloud at the French track, but the decision over which race to run in was taken out of his hands by the minor setback.

"The plan was to run this weekend, but he worked on Saturday and we gave him a routine scope afterwards," said Easterby.

"Unfortunately that came back dirty, so we decided that we'd leave him alone. Coming at this time of year, there's obviously no other races for him now.

"The horse is absolutely fine but it's just not worth taking the chance in a Group One when you know he's not quite 100 per cent.

"We'll start back over a mile somewhere, possibly the race at Newcastle worth £100,000 (Burradon Conditions Stakes), and then he'll end up in the Dante.

"He's a very good horse."
