Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, 3.05 Chantilly

John Gosden, Enable: "It was always going to be a big field, which is the reason we didn't want to run Cracksman in it. It is good opposition and it is a proper Arc. Horses with a high draw have the initial advantage, as it is a bit like in the boat race and the jockey will have to work out what to do. Luckily he has to make that decision, not the trainer. I always think the middle draw is best, but we are where we are and we've got to get on with it. I just hope we don't get too much rain on the day. I would love to see it on better ground, when you see the good horses quicken. The filly is well in herself. She is a lovely filly and she is well. She is weighing more now than she did at the beginning of the year, which is a good sign. I think there are five or six really nice other horses in there, not one to be afraid of. Remember, Chantilly it is not an easy track, with sharp bends. Not always the best horse wins."

Money Back

Frankie Dettori, Enable: "The Arc is very unpredictable, there's 18 runners, the best in Europe, and you've got to be on your wits. Chantilly can be tricky at times and if we get the rain it could get complicated, with traffic problems. We need to improvise and come up with a plan. Jim (Crowley, jockey of Ulysses) is lucky that he has a plum draw right beside me, but he knows that I'm not going to open a door for him, it's a question of if he's good enough to beat me. Sometimes in the Arc you can get behind bad horses and that ruins your chances, but a decent pace makes it better for everyone. She's been a model of consistency, goes on any ground and gets weight for age. She has had a long season, but we've got to go there upbeat and do our best."

Jim Crowley, Ulysses: "I was happy with stall one when I saw Enable was in stall two. I would much rather be where we are than 17 or 18. We are 3lb better off at the weights since the King George, but it was very testing ground that day so I'm praying we don't get much rain. The feeling he gave me in the Juddmonte was that he'd clearly improved, but he'd need to have as well."

Alan Cooper, Ulysses: "Sir Michael has had this in mind for quite some time. We've been very happy with him since York and we're looking forward to it."

Aidan O'Brien, Winter, Capri, Order Of St George, Idaho, Seventh Heaven: "She's (Winter) been in good form since Leopardstown and everything has gone well. Obviously you can't be sure about the trip as the furthest she has gone was the mile and a quarter at Goodwood. Capri's in good form. Obviously he hasn't done a lot since Doncaster, but he seems to be in good form. Order Of St George is in good form. We've been happy with him since the Irish Leger at the Curragh and everything has gone well."

Harry Herbert, Brametot: "He's won at Chantilly so we don't have to worry on that score. What he has to do is break on terms, if he jumps out slowly, well, you don't want to be giving horses like Enable and Ulysses a start, it will be hard enough to beat them on a level playing field. Of course, over a mile and a half for the first time it will be slightly more forgiving if he is slowly out but we'd obviously rather he was closer to the pace than he has been in the past. He's over the back problem he had at Deauville and and he looks much better. We'd like to think he's going with a chance."

Alain de Royer-Dupre, Zarak: "He looks very well, he had his main gallop at Maisons-Laffitte with two pacemakers, it was like a little race, and he did very well. For this type of horse it is difficult to run him twice at Chantilly (which was why he swerved a trial). Some horses are very anxious so it was better to do that. A mile and a half could be his best trip now, in his last race he did very well and it was the plan to run in the Arc. His dam stayed well and he has a good turn of foot. He was second to Almanzor twice last year, he's a very good horse. He has a very strong turn of foot."

Andre Fabre, Plumatic & Cloth Of Stars: "I couldn't be happier with Cloth Of Stars's condition coming into the race. His preparation has been ideal and he has come on as expected from his run in the Foy."

Adrie de Vries, Dschingis Secret: "We'd be delighted if he finished in the first four. Chantilly is a tricky track, it's not like Longchamp, anything can happen. Of course Aidan O'Brien will be a danger too, I really liked the way Order Of St George won last time so he's one of the dangers and a few others but we fancy our chances. He can win but he's got a little bit to find to beat Enable. It's a horse race, anything can happen."

Kazuhiro Nakazawa, Satono Diamond: "He's in good condition, he's much better than before the prep race. He did not like the ground then, it was a little bit heavy. He prefers fast ground. Heavy ground in France is not like in Japan. He's much better than before."

Extra Place

Qatar Prix de l'Abbaye, 4.35 Chantilly

Dan Downie, Marsha: "We're very much looking forward to it. We're very happy with her and she appears to be in as good a form as she was before York. The ground should be fine. If they get the rain it might be a bit slower than last year. I'd say she's in a similar place to where she was a year go. Her coat is starting to go, but it did last year so you wouldn't be worried about that. We're generally happy with her. She emulated Lochsong in the Palace House (by defying a 7lb penalty) so let's hope she can do so again."

Luke Morris, Marsha: "She's in good form and I'm looking forward to it. She's probably better on better ground to be honest, but she ran reasonably well at Goodwood on it and that track suits her well so I'd be hopeful of a big run. Obviously Battaash and Signs Of Blessing are both well suited to very soft ground so if it does go very soft it will play to their strengths more than ours, but she has handled it before. Hopefully it won't inconvenience her too much."

Angus Gold, Battaash: "It's up to him a bit. Obviously he didn't show his best in any sense at York. (He was) disappointing with his attitude, so I hope he does it a bit better mentally. Charlie has been very happy with him. We know the ability is there. Let's hope he can get back to where he was in the summer."

Clive Cox, Profitable: "He's very well indeed and we are looking forward to it. The forecast will keep it wetter rather than holding ground, but I've no concerns about an easy surface for him. (On) his standard of performance, he is a proven Group One horse. He should be competitive, his performances at Ascot are what we hang on to. There's no doubting his ability. He's had time between races this year and I'm really looking forward to it."

Bruce Raymond, Queen Kindly: "We're very hopeful. We thought she ran a little bit keen at Haydock and the ground was very heavy. We're hoping it won't be quite so heavy at Chantilly. She's got plenty of speed so the drop back to five will be no problem."

Qatar Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere Grand Criterium, 1.45 Chantilly

Charlie Appleby, Masar, Mythical Magic:"Masar and Mythical Magic are in great nick. I know 100 per cent that Mythical Magic will handle the ground and I'm very confident Masar will. It's a Group One and I like to have a strong hand in it. We were always heading towards the Lagardere with Masar, but we made the entry for the Royal Lodge as you never know what is around the corner. I think a nice flat track will suit him and we will keep it simple with him. I see Masar getting further in time and I think this is about the maximum trip that Mythical Magic will get. He has got the pace to jump and travel well."

Total Prix Marcel Boussac, 1.10 Chantilly

Freddy Head, Polydream: "I thought the Cheveley Park might be a bit quick for her so we've gone for the Boussac. I think she'll get a mile, but it's not written on the wall. It's a bit early to be thinking about next year, the French Guineas is back at Longchamp next year. She's in very good form and I think she's a very talented filly."

Carlos Laffon-Parias, Soustraction: "I was disappointed when she was beaten first time, but we turned the form around with the winner that day in a Group Three next time. She is my best two-year-old and it will take a good one to beat her. She has improved, she is from the same family as (Arc winner) Solemia."

Prix de l'Opera Longines, 3.50 Chantilly

Alan Cooper, Senga: "Pascal Bary is very happy with her. She's a Prix Diane winner returning to Chantilly where she runs particularly well and she should be very competitive. It was a nice run back in the Prix de la Nonette and she's come on for that."

James Doyle, Sobetsu: "She ran a nice race in the Matron and we are stepping back up in trip to a mile and a quarter. She travelled into the Matron quite well, but she just lacked that little kick. The only blip on her record was when she went to Germany as her run in the Falmouth was good. That was a mile-three. She travelled like the best throughout and that extra furlong just found her out."

Qatar Prix de la Foret, 5.15 Chantilly

Martyn Meade, Aclaim: "This is definitely his trip at the highest level. He's won over a mile and over six furlongs but in Group Ones seven furlongs is him. The soft ground isn't a worry and I'm fairly confident of turning the tables on Brando over the extra half furlong."
