John Gosden's Argentello had shown up well in three decent maidens before winning at Yarmouth last time out and looks the best bet of the day at Windsor.

The Intello colt had the misfortune of bumping into some decent sorts such as Nordic Lights and Chief Ironside, but he made no mistake on his fourth run.

He looks like a late-maturing type and Gosden is obviously keen to get more experience into him in the Berks, Bucks And Oxon Royal Arch Freemasons' "Confined" Novice Stakes before going handicapping.

Gosden could get the afternoon off to a fine start in the Harte And Garter Hotel Handicap with Tivoli.

A winner at Wolverhampton in April, she was well beaten in a Listed race at Nottingham last time out.

Dropped 2lb for that, though, and back at a more realistic level, she can defy top weight.

The return to a quicker surface will help Fast Dancer in the Mark Masons Celebration Handicap.

Joe Tuite's charge won at Chester the time before last, despite being posted wide, and he was fancied to follow up back there last time out.

Nevertheless the winner of that Chester event, Aasheq, did the business in the Cumberland Plate midweek so it might not have been a bad event.

Now that David Pipe has managed to get a win out of Celestial Path over timber he should be followed in the bet365.com Handicap Hurdle at Uttoxeter.

Once a smart two-year-old for Sir Mark Prescott, he went on to be fifth in the Guineas but seemed to lose his way.

First-time blinkers sparked him back to life, though, and he could be one to rattle up a sequence.

Tom George is having a really good go at the Marston's Pedigree Summer Cup at Uttoxeter with The Romford Pele, Stellar Notion and Drumlee Sunset.

They might all have to fight it out for the places, though, as Ballyalton shaped with promise over hurdles last time out and is handicapped to win if he retains all his ability.

Shantou Village has never lived up to his early promise for Neil Mulholland but there is still time.

The Oakmere Homes Handicap Chase looks a nice spot for him on his beloved quick ground.
