The Sporting Life Pick 7 game was won for the third time in eight days on Saturday – meaning £250,000 has now been paid out in just over a week.
The victory of the unraced Tajaanus in the finale at Newmarket saw one lucky player claim the £100,000 jackpot, as the only entrant to find all seven winners.
The success followed hot on the heels of last weekend’s £100,000 payout, plus Wednesday’s £50,000 prize payment.
The triumph of 10/1 shot Grey Britain’s in the first of the seven races, split over cards at Newbury and Newmarket, took out more than 96 per cent of entrants but victories for some shorter-priced contenders later on kept the ball rolling for several players.
Heading into the closing contest, only two of the field were covered, but the success of Tajaanus under Jim Crowley (pictured) saw Terry Halcrow collect the prize.
"I play the Sporting Life Pick 7 and the Super 6 with a mate every week, but I can't believe I've won - I wasn't sure if it was a wind-up at first," he said.
"I was working today so didn't get the chance to follow the results as closely as I usually do, but I'm just a punter who likes an accie every Saturday afternoon and to win £100,000 is a dream come true."
