Despite being the most inexperienced filly in this year’s Irish 1,000 Guineas line-up, a chance is taken on the Hamdam Al Maktoum representative Aneen. Winner of a 25-runner maiden over seven furlongs at today’s track on her last start back in October, she looked a very exciting prospect, showing plenty of early pace, and didn’t appear to lack staying power either. The Kevin Pendergast-trained horse makes her seasonal debut in what is a competitive renewal but looks overpriced at double figure odds.
