Resident tipster Man On The Spot looks ahead to each race at Navan on Friday evening, including a Nap selection.

HAZEL started favourite for what looked a strong maiden at Naas a couple of weeks ago but was caught on the line after leading 1f out. She can gain compensation though Nimbostratus also made a very encouraging debut on the same track earlier and will have come on a bundle for the run. The remainder with experience haven't shown enough so Johnny Murtagh's Winter Oasis, who is related to several decent winners, may prove the main threat.

Forest Of Dreams, who cost a whopping 900,000gns, found the minimum trip and fast ground against him on his debut here behind a stable companion. He will have come on markedly for the experience but so will PUERTO DE VEGA for his run at the Curragh. Johnny Murtagh's charge didn't go the early pace but was staying on nicely at the finish and today's slightly longer trip and easier ground will be in his favour. Coill Avon also made an eye-catching debut when completely unfancied at Naas, making good headway when failing to obtain a clear run. Charmed is a half-brother to three winners while Repute is by Acclamation out of a 6f and 7f Listed winner so should have plenty of pace and his stable has been among the winners.

Tide Of Time beat FACE OFF just under two lengths on this track back in 2018 but the latter will be 13lb better off. The former has won three times subsequently, including at Naas in November when the selection lost all chance at the start. Charles O'Brien's mare, who won this a year ago, led for most of the way over the slightly longer sprint track here last week and, with a fitness advantage, looks the one to beat. Limit Long also finished runner-up at the same meeting over this trip but he's never won and has been raised 4lb for that run. Celtic Manor completed a double for William Haggas last summer and will have needed his run at Naas, though could find this a bit short.

The Lady's Bid won here in September and made an impressive reappearance at Gowran for which she's been raised 11lb. Wild Shot, five-times a winner on the all-weather, is 0-15 on Turf while Brothers In Arms is also a maiden and looks a bit high in the weights on what he's achieved. SANTORINI SUN is 1-27, which doesn't inspire confidence, but very nearly doubled her tally at Leopardstown and, if continuing in that kind of form, should take some beating off this lowly mark. Three-times winning hurdler Misty Millie has won on the Flat here, though that was in 2016.

Lady De Vesci won a Dundalk claimer in November, her fourth victory on the track, but she's yet to open her account on Turf. No Trouble also won on the same track in February but has yet to reach a place in five starts on Turf. Ellaat shot up the ratings after landing a Ballinrobe handicap last summer and has been unable to cope but Karl Thornton is in cracking form so Guido Reni should make a bold bid. A winning hurdler, he's yet to score on the Flat but gave notice of an imminent victory when a close third at Fairyhouse. However, this could prove too short and HIDDEN SPARK, who has been running on over shorter, should be ideally suited by the trip so gets the nod.

Delphi stayed on gamely to land a Curragh maiden over a mile a week ago and is certain to be suited by the extra but SACRAMENTO showed plenty of potential last season and on his reappearance in a Leopardstown handicap where he would have finished closer with a clear run. He gets the vote, despite being raised 5lb, even though Sonnyboyliston scooted away from his rivals over a mile at Gowran for which he's been raised a massive 14lb. Protagonist is on a hat-trick and has had a bit in hand in both victories while Baby Zeus beat the smart Arthur's Kingdom at Killarney and didn't look at his best when runner-up there next time.

A big prize has attracted a very competitive field including Magnetic North, who earned connections a huge pot when he won this race at Leopardstown a year ago. But he hasn't been in the best of form and finished a long way behind Edification in a Curragh handicap last month. The winner only had a neck to spare over Tartlette with several of these rivals behind including Kasperenko and Major Reward, who finished third and fourth. Kiss For A Jewel has competed in pattern races since completing a double over this trip and has the scope to do better while Halimi ran well in a Naas Listed contest in March and more rain would be a bonus. Those who saw PATRICK SARSFIELD (NAP) saunter home in a Leopardstown handicap won't want to miss him here despite a hefty 15lb rise. Joseph O'Brien's charge looks better than a handicapper and can continue his progress.

Felix Desjy landed a Grade 2 hurdle at Punchestown in January last year and only contested Grade 1 races in three subsequent starts, scoring at Aintree. He's a superb prospect for the jumps campaign and can blow away the cobwebs with a big run here. Bumper winner Pike County is lightly-raced and has a future over jumps while Rasiym has a fitness advantage having been beaten a head by Shanroe at Limerick with the winner going on to score over hurdles a few days later. He had THOSEDAYSAREGONE just over a length back in fourth that day but the latter, who landed a major handicap over timber at Leopardstown in February, can take his revenge over this trip and land this.
