Check out our race-by-race verdicts and nap selection for Thursday's meeting at Golden Gate.
19.45
SHE'S IN LUCK had Hope Win behind when scoring here on her penultimate start and should take care of that rival again. Naomi Fraley looks much more of a threat having raced in slightly better company but she could just need this after a break. Smokinhotredhead won a maiden claimer here a year ago but has a long absence to overcome.
20.17
MISS LUCKY LAGER and Unchaining Melody are closely matched on recent form though the former gets the vote having only just failed to match strides with the winner last time with her rival back in third. Bounty Of Gold faded quickly over the trip last time and is better over slightly shorter but Lydia O Lydia arrives in top form and could provide the main threat
20.47
EMMA'S A BEAST had Commissioness behind when scoring here in January and the runner-up boosted the form last time. Princess Rio was staying on over slightly shorter last time having won over that trip earlier so looks a real threat. Perfect Sale has won both starts on the track, over 5f and a mile, so should have no problems with this trip.
21.18
Totally Tiger has been gelded since a decent run at Santa Anita but isn't proven over this trip. Collusion Delusion doesn't appear to have been getting home over the trip though takes a slight drop in class and has to be respected. Gem State would have a chance at his best but hasn't been running well so a chance is taken with MUSKET POWDER, who made a promising debut here last month and won't need much more.
21.48
Most of these have been in good form though Malibu Alex has shown good pace before fading the last twice. BOLD ROMAN completed a hat-trick here at this time a year ago and didn't return until three weeks ago when showing all of his usual speed. He'll strip fitter here and looks the one to beat. Aotearoa scored over a mile here last February but pace is no problem as he showed over the extended 5f last month. Independent Indy has won twice here since December but was behind Stocked in January and the latter can run into the frame.
22.21
Doug O'Neill has had dreams of a Dubai World Cup night winner shattered but perhaps FORT MCHENRY (NAP) can offer some small consolation. The winner of a much better race than this at Gulstream, the $200,000 yearling should have too much quality for these. Megameister completed a double here before a fine effort in what looked a strong race so has to be respected as does Mahi Mahi. The latter, a winner at Santa Anita in January, was claimed after a cracking effort behind Sweet Boy here last month.
22.55
PROUD TO SHOYU, Coach's Valentine and Tiz The Standard are closely matched having beaten each other in recent starts with preference for the former, who also had Eight O Five behind the last time they met. She just gets the nod in the most open race of the card in which the latter can do better as can Sizzling Grace, who has only had two starts.
