Check out our race-by-race verdicts and nap selection for Tuesday's meeting at Fonner Park.
22.00 (All times BST, Live on Sky Sports Racing): Trapper Peak, four times a winner last year though not on this track, ran his best race on the course when tackling a mile where Williston Dude was behind. Five times winner Hot Blooded Song completed a double at Columbus in September and though not showing much in two recent starts here should be at peak fitness now. Trask also scored at Columbus the same month and is another who has returned from a break with a couple of moderate performances so in a poor contest BUMPY GAME, a Columbus winner in August who has also scored here, will have come on for last month's reappearance and gets the nod.
22.27: WANT TO BE COWBOY made a successful racecourse debut over the track and trip in March where he had Creeds Revenge close up in second. The latter has won since and also had subsequent winner Mr Big Shot behind earlier so the form has worked out and Kelli Martinez' charge can go in again. P R Gold Play gained her maiden victory here last month and is on the upgrade so another big run is expected.
22.54: Captain Amante takes a drop in class but was gaining his first-ever victory on his 42nd start last month which hardly inspires confidence of a follow-up. However, he had Witts Hurricane in second that day and should confirm the form though he had earlier finished behind Auctioneer over the extended 6f track. The latter has been unplaced in three starts over this trip including last time when SPUNKY KITTEN finished runner-up. Mark Lemburg's charge scored over the track and trip in March and looks set for another victory.
23.21: Scloto's Shoes has been racing in better company at Oaklawn Park though has yet to reach a place and makes his debut here. Brave One isn't ideally drawn for this dash but generally blasts out and had Go West Indy behind when runner-up over track and trip last time. PRINCE OLAF has yet to win but his only start over this distance resulted in his best performance to date and leading rider Jake Olesiak can steer him home.
23.48: OBYL shows good early pace so is ideally drawn and though unable to hold on last time and passed by runner-up Atsa Woesy she can hold that one off here and lose her maiden tag. Witt Nine is held on that run while Banker Nita has disappointed in her four starts since returning from a long break. The lightly-raced Gaby Vee was racing at a much higher level last summer and should be better for her two recent runs on this track following a long lay-off.
00.15: This is for horses who haven't won three times in 2019/20 but GIANT GAMBLE (NAP) has a total of eight victories to his credit including a recent double over the slightly shorter track. He won't mind the extra and a hat-trick looks on the cards. Frankalee Fun, a six-times winner from 41 starts, was behind in the latter of those races but had done much better when scoring on his previous start, when Born Force was behind, so looks a threat. Diesel's Prize has won no less than 16 races including once on this track and this is his level. He had Elusive Blueboy behind when placed here last month.
00.42: MATAPAN, a winner at Oaklawn Park in March, ran a fine race when runner-up here last week and a repeat would probably be good enough to give her a fifth victory. Seven-times winner May Flowers won here in March and has produced two fair runs in slightly better company subsequently while A Bunch For Lunch has won five times around here including her last two though at a slightly lower level. Classy And Fast looks the main threat as she made all and held on well to land a similar race last month, her third victory on the course.
01.09: Astonishing Tweet made all to record her first track victory last month and with the inside berth is certain to take some catching. Holiday Joke had Empirical Data back in third when staying on to take the runners-up spot in a similar contest last time but it's about time SHEPHERD'S PRIDE was winning on this track. Already successful 13 times, including six times over the trip, she's been placed four times in recent runs and holds both Green Card and Mayhawk.
